It's cute but...SOMEHOW I just don't think this is a good deal, esp. when compared to getting a Syma S026G. I included it here just for fun (and archival purposes).
Well, let me put it like this:
It has ONE customer review with ONE star ... and for 79.90$ I also get a nine eagles SP100 micro CP heli with a FULLSIZE J6Pro NE 6ch transmitter included ...

It might be you are right and its not such a good deal ...

Heh...yes, that's quite the understatement, E2

Ahem.

Public service announcement: Let me be completely clear for those folks who can't detect sarcasm in forum posts.

THIS IS A TERRIBLE DEAL. I INCLUDED IT HERE JUST FOR FUN BECAUSE I KEEP AN ARCHIVE OF TANDEM HELICOPTER URLS.

Thus ends my public service announcement.

Here's a better Amazon link:

http://www.amazon.com/Walkera-Marine...dp/B007S0DQ2Y/

The mighty Walkera 38#CH47

I've heard that this beast is BIG and thus very prone to breakage. However, that just makes it more of an interesting challenge, right?

No, I don't have one and I won't be getting one either. I'm doing just fine with my micros right now...

Nope. The link as I see it has no reviews. Maybe because I'm looking at it from a US IP address?

However, if ANYONE is even considering looking into this heli, please read this thread about it:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=900259

As I stated before, and can be seen in the thread above, people have reported that this heli is very difficult to even get off the ground. It seems to have a number of problems that are fundamental to its design (underpowered, difficult to tune, etc...)

Don't say you weren't warned....

Laugh my a#@ off on this one John. I thought I was the only that did this...
I think I'm going for the Big s022g... So I think there will a repeat of these body anticís real soon.

Yeah, from what I've read on that thread it's a *big* bird and as a result it needs a lot of TLC both in preventative maintenance and flight prep. It *does* fly but it sounds like it will be a project just to keep it flying. I'm not sure. That being said, if you're into tinkering and experimenting and learning, then do what interests you, right? If you want a maintenance-free always-ready-to-fly heli I don't think this is a good choice.

It certainly does look pretty cool though.

Oh, hey, speaking of the S022G, there might have been an actual sighting of it! (Note, the S022 with no gyro has been out for a while but we've all been waiting for the S022G WITH gyro). Check this thread out if you haven't already seen it:

I would say, for 30pounds its a really good deal (depending on postage, but I guess as long as it is shipped inside great britain, this will not be tooo high) - too bad they dont ship to the US ... but even if they did, shipping would probably turn the offer from a really good one into just a "so-so" one ...

6.50 postage, so if it went orthr starting bid it should be good, funds are low atthe moment n I'm finding it hard to justify just £14.99 on a BNIB "Appcopter"

I remember this costing 129$ in the US ... or now I think 99$ if you happen to "run into one" ... so according to a roughly 1.6 conversion rate this means HALF PRICE compared to what I am aware of in the US ... and that I think can be considered a pretty good deal (sorry to hear this wont help you a lot ... ...)
