I have the following Tandems.

Syma S026G (Chinook)

Eflite Rescue (Sea Knight)

Nine Eagles Twingo (Chinook)

Esky Tandem (Chinook without the turbine engines)

Walkera YS8001 (Chinook)

From left to right... EFlite MCX Tandem Rescue, Nine Eagles Twingo, Esky Tandem, and Walkera YS8001 (S026G is not shown).

Go through the past few pages of this threads and look for my reviews about each of them. The Esky Tandem has its issues but is otherwise a very flyable heli. I've taken it outdoors a few times when the wind is very low. Its' got a "civilian" and a "military" canopy that you can interchange.

Actually, now that I look closer at it, I'm not so sure the Esky Tandem is a Sea Knight. It doesn't have the same canopy and landing gear setup as the EFlite Rescue...Anybody know what this helicopter is supposed to be?

You can find the EFlite Rescue on ebay sometimes and there are guys here that trade in them. Good luck tracking one down. They're really great flying models! I love it!

I'd buy that, I guess. I suppose what threw me was the lack of the big turbine engines on the sides, but I suppose Esky didn't want to weight their model down with that...

I'll be only too happy to share any thoughts on any of these helis. I've got a list of things that I've done with the Esky Tandem to make it fly a little better. Just ping me here and we'll chat!

OTOH, you might have some issues finding some of these birds.

I got my EFlite Tandem Rescue at my LHS (their last one)

I got my Nine Eagles Twingo at ClubHeli.com (their stock is gone now but they have some parts. HobbyKing still has them for sale! )

I got my Esky Tandem from xheli.com (their stock is gone now but they have parts)

I got my Walkera YS8001 from Hobby King (their stock is gone now but they have parts)

I've scoured the interwebs for hobby stores that have these helis and parts. I've ordered from the UK, China, and New Zealand to get what I need. All I can say is if you find one--buy it immediately! Even if it doesn't work, it's a "project" that you can get working again by ordering the parts from elsewhere.

Well, we know and love the S022 (there's a whole thread devoted to it):

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1248398

But it doesn't have a gyro and it's 3 channel. I don't know if it's even 2.4GHz.

The S022G hasn't materialized as an actual product yet AFAIK.

I've not see the S34 pic yet. Interesting!

Hey, if you trust shopping at aliexpress.com, you might find some of these birds for sale there. I found the Esky and Walkera YS8001 there at least.

I found this little guy while browsing on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/control-chinoo...dp/B004ADVVSS/

It's cute but...SOMEHOW I just don't think this is a good deal, esp. when compared to getting a Syma S026G. I included it here just for fun (and archival purposes).
