Eastern NC Soaring Spring Fling - March 20th, Wilson, NC
Down East Soaring Society - DESS - would like to invite anyone with a sailplane (DLG, 2M, electric, TD, XC, scale, hotliner, etc) and a valid AMA membership to fly at our field in Wilson, NC on Sunday, March 20th.
We are planning to do some aero-tow - a electric tug will be at our field!
Of course there will be high starts and winches available for you to use and fly.
For pilots who like to measure their flying skills against others, we will have a competitive task available - the task can be flown with any sailplane, no exclusions!
We are planning to have some chili for lunch - donations cheerfully accepted & net proceeds will be donated to the US F3K team.
Directions to the field: http://www.olgol.com/F3K-Trials-2010/map.html
Pilots meeting 10 AM, fly as long as conditions are good! No landing fee or such!
For those working on LSF tasks: plenty of withesses at the field, we will have landing areas & tapes available.
Please post your name & frequency if you are planning to attend - need a head count to make sure we don't run out of chili...
Hope to see you then to welcome Spring!

Channel 39. I will bring 2 high starts in case someone needs to use them. I'll Probably bring the Chuperosa with the small rubber high start too. Can't wait. Sounds like lots of fun. If your chili is as good as the brats were at the last event we are all in for some good eats.

I am rehabing an Airtronics Aquila and now have a mission to make. Thanks for the inspiration. I've been away from the glider guiding and hope to get some help rehabing my skills as well. Anyone else flying RES? Thanks, Paul Grieshaber in Mooresville NC 2.4 DX7

Martin, I will come, assuming the boss is OK with this.
2.4G for hand launch models if I bring them, and likely ch 48 (or 32, 34) for my TD model.
Thanks for organizing this!
