Thank you!

My students have "borrowed" almost all my 0.22 thick pink foam but I have a boatload of the thicker stuff. I'm excited about this build.

How does it go again - "keep it light for awesome flight?"

This technique works great w/thin foam that's ~1/4 inch thick.

Also, I buy bulk razor blades at Home Depot.

1-Build a 36" from plans on first post. Put your 450 on it...2200mah on nose. Fly...Smile.
2-Build a 55" that will fly at 11+ lbs...1/2" blue foam.

Thanks HJ

Is it okay to "modify" the plans somewhat?

The beautiful lines of this machine could be enhanced, I believe, by schmoothing out the verticals, delivering perhaps a more fluent, consistently visual and aesthetically pleasing value.

And ya, I'll schmooth out the polygons which are shown in the image below.

Thanks

Of course you can make changes..... some, if not many of the people that do : we never hear back from them... guessing it all didnt work out. Try to stay somewhat close on the stuff that matters on the first one... then maybe go crazy on the next one....

I'm looking at my foam inventory, trying to come up with the "sweet spot" where the thickness of material will be likely to work well with the airframe size/weight and available thrust.

Geo turkey...I like that, has a good ring to it. Build ya one Alan, they are a hoot to fly. Can't wait for seff again bud! I am almost sure that the table was weighted down or steaked down this year. I hit it 3 solid times and it never fell over...
Marko, can you post up the pic from the time I landed the 55" on a pole? I can't find it.
