Mine is still in the white basecoat but with flakey, peeling paint...Someday, I'm going to sand it all off and apply some artists acrylic paint as I should have months ago...I used solvent based spray paint and it's not working at all...It didn't eat the foam but there's some type of chemical reaction taking place that is causing the paint to craze/crack/peel...
I bought a new airbrush and a new quiet air compressor...The new air compressor is so quiet you can use it indoors...It is the same type that you see airbrush artists use for T-shirts, etc...I learned the hard way that water based acrylic paint is best for foam...I'm an old automobile paint and body man that was used to automotive type paint...Although you CAN get solvent based paint to work at times on foam, it's NOT the best choice...Live and learn!!!
I hope to get my T-45 ready for some spring flying!!!
