I weighed my plane and it was 155 grams without battery. The 1000mah battery weighs 75grams so I guess the final weight is in the 230's? I really want to take some video of it but I don't have any helpers at the moment and it is raining cats and dogs here at the moment.

For solo video, you could try a #16 key cam mounted on a baseball hat peak. Here is the thread, just read the 1st 5 posts initially.

I could only get 6mm depron. But mine seems to fly great. I also used Titebond on my depron models and it seems to hold up well. I also used extreme packing tape on the leading edge for protection..

How do you fold the front of the wing over?
I cut the section out at an angle, but it only folds half way.
Should I flip it over and fold it with the cut side out?

Or do I need to just take more foam out of the groove, so just the paper is in the section under the dotted lines?
I am using the Dollar Tree foam.
This is my first attempt at building a plane.

What you want to do is cut from the dotted line towards the solid line at a 45-degree angle so that you form a V shaped cut in the foam. When you lift up the top step to 90 degress the foam should come together at a right angle. Then you fold the step past 90 degrees and you should get a nice curved edge.

It can be tricky to get right, especially if you cut through the paper or the paper tears. You might want to practice it with some extra scrap pieces to get the technique down.

The other way is to just cut the step out, glue it on and then sand both edges down to a rounded shape. Either way will work.

thanks Wombat.
I couldn't wait so i took the foam out under the lines and folded it over.
Slight curve to the nose.

I was afraid to force it past the 90deg spot, because I figured the paper would let go or the foam would break.
I'll cut another fuselage and give it a try.

Another question.
Carbon fiber, or wood dowel for the spar, or does it matter?

And for a motor, this wouldn't work would it? Probably way to big.
Park 480- KV1250
35 mm 36 mm
kv1250
Constant watts500,
Burst watts655
Wt 116g
Shaft Dia. 4mm
Voltage range 11.1-14.8V /
3-4S LiPo
40A Minimium esc
Prop.9x5 , 10x4, 11 x 4

I might strip the motor out of my ArtTech Corsair.
