Looks nice JC ... intereresting design that split wing. MiG-15's re sweet fliers but don't make those turns too tight

Thank Martin,
I will use the split duct but I decide to make fiber glass ducts ( not balsa) . I already made two plugs for it.

Frustration with front retract

I received my Spring Air reverse front retract, but I don't understand the reverse ?? look like regular. I was under the impression the retract Cylinder should be away fromthe strut After many try and hour of scratching my head I decide to do this way:http://www.jettechmodels.com/servlet...l-Metal/Detail
I will use the Spring Air in my F 35 project.
I finish the ducting and I 'm please with the result . This week end I will glue everything in place and ad carbon tow to the duct.

Was busy this week with wood floor @ home but I did some work on the Mig.
I try to correct my alignment error on the intake but I have the feeling I have to live with that and more cautious next time
The wing half are glue solid and well align( yes) Check and recheck with incidence meter.
I fit the hatch , I reenforce the inside with more carbon fibre and a dowel in the front and next two BVM latch mechanism.

Hello
Very happy with the electric retracts from Lander. They fit perfectly and I was able to solve the front retract . The strut for the main look scale and will make doors to cover the wheel, actuated with two small servos and a bell crank ...
I hope those retract will last , they look solid, so much more easy to install!
Next is the rudder, I connect the top and bottom with a carbon rod , a small tube in the tail to receive the rod , a clevisse in the middle and a hinge on the top. For control a pull pull cable , servo just above the fan

Ok, rudder is hooked and move very well with no force or hard point..very happy. I use direct rod instead of pull-pull.
I ad to made a balsa fairing for the non moving part in the middle. No finnish yet.
Next ix to fix the hatch with two pin at the front and two hatch latch ( BVM) @ the back.
Moving well . Next pilot cockpit and some panels lines on wing and primer.
I have to order decals .Chinese

Nice JC, I noticed you switched struts ... The split intake won't be visible when you paint it mat black.

You should have the MiG flying in no time Red tail chinese scheme ?

Canopy is done, with pilot ... the front wheel is done with support for servo and Lander electric retract install. So far so good.
The plane will be painted with Chinese marking .
I still have to fit the main wheels doors. Two small servos for those and a cable/elastic for the front one.
Til next time
