FatShark 5.8ghz 100mW Tx
Just got my RCV922 in the mail. I new to FPV and I have a question. My camera is 5v and the FatShark manual says: Voltage in: 6-7.4v with CCD, 6-12V with CMOS.
I'm using a S3 lipo and the ESC has a built in BEC that drops outputs to 3A at 11.1. I assume that I need to drop the voltage to the tx to 6-7.4v. Am I correct or can I just run 11.1v to the Tx and it should work fine with a 5v camera, assuming no heat problems? It's unclear if the 5v out is always 5v or if it depends on the Vin.
Edit: When I get home I will test the voltage. I also assume it would be best to run it through a BEC anyway to avoid overheating the Tx.
