most 450's are metal head and tail whereas the b450 is mostly plastic. my point in case is that the b450 weighs quite a bit less. the heli i am building is mostly plastic so just for the heck of it i will order an el cheapo 20c just to see how it holds up in a lighter heli. all my other birds are full metal and carbon fiber and weight quite a bit more.

Makes sense. My B450 flies great for a pre-built and *relatively* cheap heli...for now... I'll keep it stock (except for Thunder Power carbon fiber blades) and crash/beat it up for now. When I do upgrade, I plan to go to a full metal tail gearbox and main rotor head, so I'll have to see how the extra weight affects it...if at all... Sometimes, aluminum parts can be lighter than their plastic equivalents. Look at the mCP X... The full Rakon metal upgrade kit, and I mean EVERYTHING, is several grams lighter than a stock mCP X.

the single best upgrade anyone could put on a heli are TT carbon blades. there are similar products for 15.00 but they are simply similar. TT carbons demand performance and dish it out the same. they are well worth 70.00

(i assume you meant Thunder Tiger)

Nope...they're Thunder Power RC. I'm looking at them right now... I got them at my LHS, but Horizon sells them, too.

$70 for Thunder Tiger blades? Yikes... Even the Curtis Youngblood Radix 325mm carbon blades are only $40...same as my Thunder Powers...

+ 1...I have to agree. And also add. It's not your join date that screams your a noob at all. Its your lack of basic knowledge Of battery's. If ppl took your advice they would never buy 20c battery's for ther 450's..Thats just insane

Why limit one's performance over a few extra dollars?

I don't understand why people are arguing. Can't we all agree that sure you can use 20C batteries, but for a few more bucks you can get better performance....

+2 It doesn't take a rocket scientest to figure out that a higher "C" rating battery will give better performance. And the mAh rating is the "Gas tank", per say.

However, to take into the equation, you have to calulate the Amps drawn by the motor and servos to get the best battery for the performance you want.
