what is the c rating on the battery and what prop are you using

This is my Cessna as it sits today. I decided to changed the front landing gear with a shock absorbing strut. I had it in my tool box from another plane I had crashed ages ago.

I have a 5mm motor shaft screwed into the strut so it should provide enough strength to prevent the front gear from bending. I also decided to double up the front wheels with 2 inch dubro low bounce. I have 2.5 inch wheels on the back.

Thanks. The front wheels are 2 in dubro and the back are 2.5 in. I got them from the local hobby shop. The strut I got from Hobbypartz http://www.hobbypartz.com/exi-jet-me...ndgearset.html but it looks like they are out of stock at the moment

Did you have any issues fitting the back wheels? and what size collets to you need to buy to keep them on or a product code for the wheels?

The wheels will go on with no problem. Just take the pants of and slide them on. I used these for the front http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAZE3&P=7 and these for the back http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXD778&P=7.

I dont know the exact collet size I used to secure the wheels. I had a whole bunch in my tool box and I just looked for a size that fit. It may be 3mm

Ok I will once I get home. BTW I also had to use a bigger control arm for the rudder since the stock one wouldnt fit the 5mm shaft

Did you use 2 collets to keep wheels in place? 1 either side

P.S Just measured the width of the bar and its 3mm

No I used 2 short screws on each side. They screw right in

No problem with taking off from the grass at my field. Its shorts but there are rocks and small holes. We do have an asphalt runway but we taxi from the grass to the runway.

As you can see I have no problem taxing the plane from the grass to the runway in this video. So it all depends on how high the grass is
