Help - stuck in soft start mode

I've been flying the MCPX dumbed down (positive pitch only) but yesterday I ended up some how on the "Soft start" mode and with collective pitch!

I did not change any settings on the DX6i but changed blades after a bad crash. I then set the throttle hold on and checked the blades a swash were moving OK.

On releasing the throttle hold the heli spooled up and then I lifted off to my amazement and found I was flying in collective.

Bonus is I can actually hover it easier than I could in the dumbed down mode!

Can anyone tell me how to disable soft start?

Also how do you fixed wing guys actually train your brain to not shut the throttle in emergencies when flying fixed pitch, because the mcpx is really getting hurt when I shut the throttle

Preflgiht mantra - I will throttle hold if I have a problem also don't try to save it into the ground as this will take away the reaction time to hit throttle hold.

Thanks, and I assume you mean the grey throttle cut and not the switch as it seems difficult to reach in a panic!
