Matt,

I appreciate you keeping tabs with us here and letting us know when they will ship. Once they do ship, it should only be a matter of a few days depending where we live. I have already paid for the first one that my LHS gets. Just waiting for the phone call.

Super fast! have ordered from them a couple of times. If you ordered some today you will have them before you get the Mossie. I think if you put in an order today you would have them in Saturdays mail.

how confident are you that the hyperion batteries will fit? According to their site the dimensions are 30.6x20.2x6.3 mm weighing in at 7.03g.

Anyone know the specs on the stock battery?

I don't know what comes with the Mosquito but I have an Eflite 250mah and it's dimensions are very near to those of the Hyperion.

It's the EFLB2501S20 but there are no specs on horizonhobby.com yet.

I'd say it's safe to assume it's very close to the 250 mAh cell for the Tandem Rescue

Type: LiPo
Capacity: 250mAh
Voltage: 3.7V
Connector Type: Ultra-micro
Weight: 0.26 oz (7.4g)
Configuration: 1S
Length: 1.20 in (30.5mm)
Width: 0.80 in (20.3mm)
Height: 0.28 in (7.1mm)
Maximum Continuous Discharge : 12C
Maximum Continuous Current : 3A

The Hyperion should fit.

Oh, and the manual is online:

thanks xargon and pouncer.

I think I'll take a chance and order up a couple of the hyperions. Anyone know of a site that has the batteries and the "balance" board so I can charge multiple batteries at the same time?

Well I'm 99% sure they will be fine. I have to leave me 1% to get out of it.

At E-fest, a Horizon pilot told me that a lot of the testing was done with the Tandem Rescue battery which is a 12C rated battery. The one that comes with the Mossie is a 20C. I would expect the 20C battery to be a tad heavier but not much. The Hpy battery is a 25C and should fit perfect. The E-flite in the picture is from the Tandem and is 12C.

Here is 1000 words:

Here is a link for a Hpy balance board from the same place.

Thanks skyjet. For some reason I couldn't find it by browsing and I didn't have a model #, etc. to search for. Thanks for the picture as well!
