Comparable to the T-28? I'm really hoping I will be pleasantly surprised and it will be around that same speed when using my Hyp 160s...

John
I don't think the 160's will be enough either. Just a guesstimation, but if the included 250 battery get 6 minutes of flying the 160 won't get much more than 3 1/2 minutes. The hyp batteries that I have have a 25c rating, so if your 160's are 25C also, it should power it, but not for very long. Also the 160 wieghs less and will probably make it tail heavy.

I'm planning on flying mine on some 240mAh Hpy batteries.

From the video I posted on post #462, I think the speed will be faster than the T-28. It will probably be like the P-51

Still says "coming February" (which only gives them a week), and everybody still saying "pre-order", with most saying mid-March. I suppose I probably should just pre-order, but waiting to see if anybody gets stock (hoping I won't lose out due to the first batch all being sold-out on pre-order).

I think if I got it, I would be hooking up 2 180 Hyperion 1S lipos in a parallel harness to get a total of 360 mAH capacity. I think Glen is going to be offering such a harness soon for the Mossie similar to the harness he made for the Beast. The difference is the harness for the Beast runs the batteries in series while the harness for the Mossie runs the batts in parallel.

Two 180 mAh lipos will give probably 8-10 mins flight time?

Has a lower C rating which might affect performance.

lower c rate yes but because of the higher Mah it still can put out more then enough power.

the 250mah that comes with it is a max of 5a the 500 mah is 6a

Maybe I'm misunderstanding batteries, but isn't the amperage that a batt can supply a function it's size (mah rating) and it's capacity (c rating)

as in a 1000mah 1 cell battery with 5C could match the output of the 250mah 20C without taking damage? ergo the 500 mah wouldn't be a problem?

*Edit* Xargon beat me to it, lol

Sorry guys, I meant to say "Hyp 240s"

BUT I'm glad I made that mistake, because I hadn't thought about Y-ing up two 180s from my T-28. Will definitely be doing that too.

Either way, if it moves like the Mustang I'm going to be waking up at 5:30 to fly before work way too often over the next few months... hello 5 hour energy.

That might be true but the weight also. I am going to use 240 hyperions.

I think the Hyp 240's are going to be sweet in it! hopefully I'll find out sometime this week.
