ya checked the cg,it's spot on.think it's just the wing design,my mini p-51 does the same thing with the undercambered wing, just have to be really easy on the up stick, the rest is okay, actually flies nice except for that, had some winds but it took it well, forgot to remove the landing gear and they snagged the grass on landing,no damage but will remove for future flight, just have to compensate for the weight of the gear.seems pretty peppy for a microalso lost 1 of my guns

That's what I'm doing! Bigger batts - might as well have longer flight times instead of dead weight onboard...

I fixed the ballooning problem by using a 1S 500Mah lipo used in the Eflite Blade 120SR heli

works great and flys way over 10 minutes

did you have to cut any foam or did it fit in?

No cutting requires it fits in easily

Just buy the lipo adapter when you buy the 500Mah lipo

was about $10 all up

I only flew my Mossy 3-4 times, as it was so balloony it was crazy. 'Level' flight was a 30% nose up attitude. CG was spot on.

I may have to give it another go with some more weight in the nose.

Two words: down trim

Put in the right amount and it's not "balloony" even with a Hyperion 240.

I haven't been to Flaming Geyser this year yet - though I have been a member of the club. Last Christmas I flew the WAA-08 airplane out at FG.

Lately I fly mostly at meets. Will be here next weekend. That is the only place I've flown my Mosquito so far - at the Memorial Day weekend meet this year.

i've recently gotten back into model rocketry and it's absorbed most of my hobby time for the past couple of years - but I couldn't resist the Mossie as it's one of my favorite airplanes of all time.

I flew mine this morning, after replacing the left prop. On each of the flights, things would go normally a minute or two, then I'd get "the screech" and both motors would quit. I could pick it up and hand-launch it, and the same thing would happen again. Finally, it threw the left prop again. I'm sure I can get the prop re-mounted and glued securely, but I don't really understand the screech followed by motor cutoff. Any thoughts/suggestions? I doubt it's the batteries--I don't hit LVC that often and I tried with 4 different batteries this morning; I doubt they all went bad at once, and the results were the same with each. Thanks in advance!

Your screech is a motor that is kaput! basically the bushes are braking up.
you can order a set or mosquito motors. best replace both at the same time! as I didn't, now Iv noticed one prop freewheels better than the other so I get some in commanded yawing now and then. the motors have different end caps. so remember which motor is where and what tire is where!
have fun! it's a little tricky opening up the aircraft!
