Well we are slipping down the first page and no one seems to care
.The surf was fun . I really enjoyed the free surf i did. The contest I thought didn't go well tough heat and I went 5 minutes without getting a wave. ![]() ![]() Never a good thing . I tried to just stay focused but its tough. I finally got a decent one nothin special. the paddled back out and snagged a small nothing wave. But it had good shape and that mellowed me out. Then a good set wave came and I got a couple of good nose rides. enough to put me in 3rd. I figured 4th or 5th.But the judges liked it so to the semi at 8:45 am... I go. ![]() A fun day with my surf buddies . Now I am balancing the P-51 .The put her back together. and repair. the tape. Was there wind around here or are you all out with beautiful women?? Am I the last of the glider geeks .Workin on airplanes on Saturday night .Rubio who is still proud to be Slope Trash |

I had to put 1.5 oz of lead on it to get the CG dialed in. We flew it today. I haven't buried the weight yet. It's still strapped to the top. Much thanks to Jordan for helping me get it dialed in. -- John |

Rubio, that mustang is looking great!
I spent the day cleaning the back yard, then moved into the garage and cleaned it up a bit too. Someone left an extendable xacto knife on the work bench. No progress on any planes, and no flying. May get some flying in tomorrow, but might have found a new to me car to buy. (Fingers crossed.) It will have plenty of space for planes. ![]() -Wayne |

Thanks Wayne
I just cut her open for balance. It went really well. It's all taped up smooth again. If the knife is a red snap blade it's mine. I can never get out with everything. All the mustang needs is a little more covering. The paint and stickers. I needed to finish the cockpit. And paint the canopy. I'm happy with were she is now. Good luck with the new car Wayne. Always exciting. Dick I'm workin days on Monday. I'll throw some planes in the car and try to get some flyin in with you before darkness!! Hope you guys get wind tomorrow. Rubio |

Thanks for chiming in Rubio, I was getting depressed today as every time I checked in I was the last one to post.
No more progress on my Mamba although I was finally able to find some bi-directional fiber tape. Homedepot didn't have it, Target but no, Staples was closed, but squeezed into Office Max right before closing and they had some. It's the 3M stuff which I have bought before, but for some reason I don't recalling it costing me $14! ![]() Here's another random questions I'm using as an excuses to to stall progress... I'm planning on doing internal pushrods like Jordans (aiming for the slot between the CF spars), but which way is the better way to stick the servos into the wing? As in, servo arm in the back or servo or arm in the front? -Jonathan who's still a newstuff newb and is curious about how much fiber tape to apply... |

Sweet - Free tools!! I'll keep it safe until I see you Monday.
![]() Anybody want to carpool to Bluff Cove today? The car I'm looking at is very close by, and I figured I might as well make it into a dual trip. If the car is as advertised, I'll be buying it, and I could really use an extra driver to pull this off. I could drop you off at Bluff first so you can fly, and I'll go check out the car. That way you don't have to be bored out of your mind. ![]() Please let me know if you are interested. -Wayne p.s. I don't think the wind will be any good at Bluff Cove, or anywhere else for that matter.
