Well I think the Water Tank was a good call, it was nice when I got there, 8mph average so decent slope lift and very bubbly with thermals everywhere. It then died down for a bit, but if you hooked a thermal you could get way up and do a fast-pass. Was a good session
.Hoping for wind and no rain tomorrow, we'll see... |

a tale of somee triumph but mostly dafeet got to my spot and had maybe 4mph,possibly not enough for even a half bad. a well lets go i tell the little fella(5yrs)then i remember i ahd the radian in the trunk. just enough lift to keep her up. hit the power take her up a couple hundred feet, hey jet wanna try ......sure first time took the controls before got too low second time i thought he was putting it into a dive to build speed for a loop like usual and it kept going........straight dive into the ground.after a nice hike we discovered it broke. so ill fix her back up,motor seems ok,make it a super low rate trainer for the boy and get myself another. never know what this time of the year will bring, maybe a good gust tommorow steeg |

I was at Bluff Park in Long Beach this afternoon. It was fairly light, 8 - 12 but nice and straight in, and nice and smooth, with nice buoyant air. Had a great afternoon flying the Weasel, and the Raider. It was fun with the nice smooth predictable lift.
From what I've seen the wind is predicted to be good, we'll have to see what happens with the rain though. If the wind looks good, I'll probably try to dodge the drops at Bluff Park, Lunada Bay may be a possibility too... Dave |

This thread is getting funny!
Between Jordan's & Tom German video's (I am laughing out loud tring to read it fast enough!) and the last three pages of everyone from Fabio to Twyl posting min. by min. play by play, of getting there early fix of slope fever in.
This beats any soaps I have heard of lately! We truely are a odd breed! ![]() Then we have Kieth & Lars asking for advise on what to paint there new treasures, and they have more build experence then maybe all of us put together! ![]() Dove my corsair into Kite hill tonight... Just lost orentation and was starting to get dark and it is a dark plane... I was telling myself that, the Scott flys Craigs plane litterally way after me and it has no lights on. Keep posting funny things here guys... I need a laugh to get me thru this low point! ![]() Jeff/Oletimer |

Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, so we're supposed to set our clocks BACK one hour on Saturday night. I'll be at work that night, so I'm tempted to go through the building and set a different time on every clock. Some forward an hour, some back an hour, some back 30 minutes... whaddaya think? I'll call it "November Fool's Day".

Keith, I like it!
Wow, I can't recall the last time I come to work an hour and a half early. I suppose it wasn't critical and it could probably have been done later in the day, but my excuse is I needed to make some calls the the east coast. The silver lining of course is I will now be leaving the office around 2:30 ![]() EDIT: Was raining (and dark????) on the way to work this this morning, but I see blue skies now! Oh holy crap, Fermin is already blowing strait in at 16mph average! Crikey! |
