have both, but used for the LLC (only for that, FD´s are auto pick n place) the regular iron.
Most of them work good, but 2 people told they had problems with the soldering joints.
I will switch to a through hole design now, as i dont want to let them to be made and populated, only 4 easy parts to be soldered, or?
To let them produce wil take longer, so i decided for the quick route.

Okay, I feared you might only have a soldering iron. I've got a cheap Gordak hotair station since many years and it's probably my most used tool. Don't ask me, how many uBGA I reballed with it. It must be hundrets of hours and it still works fine.

Oh no not another not working llc, yes you are right the llcs i solder by hand.
But guess on what i worked today, a nice bob for the imu you showed
I normally like smd a lot more then trough hole, but i will switch to through hole and will sell them as kits, just the 2 mosfets and 2 resistors to solder, it maybe better the people care for theirself, to solder some parts and some connectors is easy, but to do a whole batch is anoying and leads to failures, sorry for that, i am glad that so able people are here who figgure out most of their problems themself or even better help others with their knowledge, cool.
Some build docimentation is still planned but not made, sry.
BTW, Fabio and Jussi will release new IMU boards soon (2 weeks) but i decided to also support the atmel imu.
Hi Paul,
when will your new BOB for the Atmel IMU be available? I'm just thinking about which IMU I will use for the Flyduspider and would like to have another SBIN1 as an option.

Do you have an idea on the selling price for the bat-holder and the arms yet?

By the way, I think your footprint for the SMD resistors is quite small (for hand soldering); maybe you would like to make a small improvement on it and keep SMD resistors for the pull-ups on the new BOB design (use 1206; I've learned that most people - even those with little or less soldering skills - can handle it).

Why should there be a special BOB for an IMU? The already existing BOB should be good for any IMU or single sensor.

And if you wait long enough (keep the page open for some time) they will offer you the item for 7,06$ in a popup.

Including shipping that makes ~5€ if you take 10pcs.
Ordered some. Thx for the info!

Hi Paul,

Also, was tun?

Joerg

Short englich translation:
The LLC of the BOB I've received is only working sporadically. I suspect there is a hairline crack in one of the PCB traces in the area of the LLC. If one 'presses' the board in this area the LLC will work for some time again and then stop working (or only outputting junk data).
So, what's the solution for the problem?

as platinum buyer you will get them for 7,02 immediately without waiting

btw, i can recommend the frame center plates from flyduino.com

they look nice and are well done. cutting and screwing the arms was easy and just took about 1 hour.
the flyduspider frame looks soooo aweful.
with the same package i got the nice quadro centerplate , which is made very fine too.
that props from flyduino are almost the same (seem little stiffer) as gaui 330x props, at a 3 times lower price

the order was sent fast, and was packed fine.
i like pauls shop very much.
