Board combination

Hi
Just been reading through the thread and think this is excellent work, but my brain is now mush!

For a top notch setup I think I'd need a flyduino mega board, a jussi ffimu board and the power board, is that right?

Great work guys and thanks for your hard work in developing and sharing.

That's right.
And if you want to make it comfortable you could also order one of Paul's shields for the IMU.

Next step would be a GPS unit for 25$ (+Pauls GPS bob) and an ultrasonic sensor for 8$ if you want to try the MegaPirate:

You'll end up at ~250$ for the complete electronix!

thanks

i made some flights with the quad now but the props are to soft. i use these epp 12x4.5 props from mk. but not the cf version. i tried it with epp 13x4.5 cf and its much better but the motors get warm. and the epp 10x4.5 are to small. have to buy some epp 12x4.5 cf.
i think the arms should be longer, too. to much turbulence during descent.
but the flight time is ok. 13min with 3s2100.

u have shot some very cool onboard footage there

I would love to buy the GPS unit, but I live in the Netherlands and the Ftech FMP04 GPS module from http://ohararp.com/products.html is very cheap, but I have to pay $38 dollar for shipping!! Is there any other seller or other way to get this GPS device?

Thanks

What's the difference between a flyduino and seeduino board please?

So a shopping list might look like this?

Flyduino board
A power distribution board
Ffimu
Shield for ffimu
Gps + bob
Ultra sound sensor

Are these available from one place? Sorrybut each time I follow a link I got lost in the mass of development work going on in this field at the moment. It's overwhelming. I like this stuff very much though so am trying to get used to what this setup involves and where to get the bits from.

Thanks again

Both are ATMEGA1280 cpu based Boards.
For a working system you need a CPU Board and some senosrs of your choice, like the FFIMU or a WMP/BMA020 combinaton.
To make the power distribution a litlle more comfortable you can use a power bob, but of course you wont need it.
A sensor board will make the mounting of the the sensor combinations mentioned above more easy, the bob also include a llc, a nice safety option (also not esentially needed) for the ffimu and those sparkfun sensors (for those there is a option to solder some 3.3V pullup resistors if needed, dont have any sparkfun sensors here).

Paul,

I need your bob for FFIMU, but I can't found it in your online shop, is it available or not yet?

Thanks!
