nice little board.
It seems he is using a small pic cpu, i know them the atmega can give more current, so if he drives the buzzer directly from the cpu the current itself isnt the problem, it seems.
We should get away without such a board, cause the mega has enough ins and outs, but we will need some driving capabilties for the LED´s (darlington, or he seems to use a fet if i am right).
The meassurement can be done by the mega itself, also generating those blinking is no problem if someone will write code for it.
Its maybe not easily to compare, cause the little pic is a standalone for the task and he will work with lower voltages (especially in lower clock settings) and may can handle better little spikes.

My Flyduino Mega boards came today!

Thx Paul for the fast delivery!

All items were professionally packed (the box was a bit overdozed though).
Pins for the ISP and FTDI are already on it so it's really easy to connect and upload the firmware.

Tried several MultiWii versions and they worked like a charm.

Well done, Päule!

Flyduino received

Happy because I got it fast.

Not so happy about the packaging, would gladly pay a little more for a little box like the ones sparkfun uses.

Or non soldered headers, I think I could handle the job since one have to solder some anyway.

I'll straighten them up and test to see if all connections are good to go, anyway padded envelopes and soldered headers never a good idea...

@ Blackmoon, this shouldt happen, of course.
Will change the pakaging, of course.
Please report if you have any damages, but at least i can say my alpha looked even worse after some hard crashes (on stone) and is still working perfectly.
But if there are problems caused by my pakaging, report we find a solution.

@Kinderkram, puh at least some good news too.

And there are still some Flyduinos left.
Can be ordered here.

My Flyduino arrived yesterday, thx Paul for the superfast delivery!

But, some of the pre-soldered pin headers were bent and pierced through the envelope, you should really work on packaging

Maybe a little piece of i.E. Foam or even Depron would help...

I am not at home until weekend, so i can not test the Flyduino, but i don't expect any further damage, the pin headers can surely be straightened out

Now i've got to wait for the ffimu from jussi, today i got the shipping notification ))

Cheers peter

Maybe it will be easier if you do not solder the pins headers... ?

thought that too, but its the absolute minimum for testing it with ftdi and burning a bootloader on it by ISP.

For all who want to use the 5V from the ESC (especially to Norf and Warthox, who wanted this feature).

Here is JPEG, make a brigde here and dont use your lipo on the VIN pin then.
