Heli's are brilliant, or at least i think mine are, until they crash and it costs a weeks money to repair. So i prefer flying my Quads, it looks like i know what i am doing and even big crashes only cost a prop or two and a bit of epoxy.

Indeed. Quad's are awesome!

been some days of, try to arrange quite a lot new stuff

got some new nice Megas, allready in the shop.
Jesse you can also scartch some paintbeside the pad and use that as a pad.
I would suggest use a Multimeter and check for a Short before using them!
Thats the most important you can also follow the + and - with this tool easily.

Thanks for helping me out.

I'll try to do that, but I'll just get a new one too Cause It's not that safe to use that. But I'll try.

I'm very happy that I can support you with buying the stuff so I don't mind to get a new one.

Thanks Paul!

Hello guys, Iīm new and I have couple questions. My equipment is Flyduino Mega board, Drotek's 10DOF LLC and FMP04 GPS Modul on Flyduino FMP04 GPS Bob
1) Is the Drotek's 10DOF LLC board supported by the megapirates code?
2) Multiwii code supported GPS?

My Drotek's 10DOF LLC with Multiwii code working very well bud doesnť work GPS, so, I donīt know where is the problem. I try change tx-tx, rx-rx to tx-rx, rx-tx bud nothing change. Code is
#define GPS
#define GPS_SERIAL Serial2 // should be Serial2 for flyduino v2
//#define GPS_BAUD 4800
#define GPS_BAUD 38400

Sorry to say but the MP code doesn't support the Drotek yet. Maybe someone can get it working with some tinkering in the code.
And the MW code doesn't have GPS funcionality atm.

I'm afraid you need to wait a bit longer...

kinderkram: 10DOF has the same sensors as allinone board, so it shouldn't be a problem. Orientation also looks the same. Only I2C addresses are different which should be very easy to make into a #define

Is there some problem with it I'm not aware about?

That's what I meant by "tinkering".
In general the sensors are supported by the MP - someone needs to find the proper orientation and I2C addresses...

the only differences are
IDG3200 address 0xD0 on allinone - 0xD2 on drotek IMU
BMA180 0x82 on allinone - 0x80 on drotek

I don't have the board to test if it is sufficient though...

btw: there's an ongoing discussion about the Drotek 10DOF in the MP thread:

hi guys ,
after weeks of testing and failing , the flydumini works great now .

- use pauls props ... they are awesome , no more vibrations ( they were one of the many problems i had before

- build as light as possible , mine weighs more than 210g with a 3s lipo , i think its too heavy

i removed the bma completely and instead i put a beeper in which shows me how high my voltage still is ... 1Ah 3s is okay but flies kind of like a truck , 500mAh work okay , voltage drops quite fast but its great for 5 minutes of aerobatics

on 11.1V blue light
11.1V-10.1V blue flash light

the light is flashing after a minute or so

hope this helps someone , if not , im still happy :-)

cheers

how long will it take to get new quad frames in the shop paul ? any ideas ?

great result.

Will get some Tiger mini Motors, specially developed for us, should give us a little formula one racer.

i have some problems getting the parts for a new frame, still waiting, but its a nice design, very universal, you will see.

New Quad Centerplates will take till February, sorry to say, new alu arms even longer, but its all on its way.

FIY I got Drotek IMU 10DOF to work with megapirate (more details in megapirate thread), only I2C addresses are different - as expected.
FMP04 GPS has 9600 baud setting by default, this is different source to source so you need to find the right one (I think my datasheet says 19200 default, came with 38400 default, other unit came with 9600 default...)
