Hi to all fellow Flydumini builders..

I thought it would be interesting to see what are the optimum props for these brilliant quads...

So far I have only used 5x3x3 but as we all know, they can be challenging to balance accurately.. Has anybody any experience of 2 blade replacements that give the similar performance / current draw.

I'm using the Turnigy 1811-2000 motors ( same as the Hextronic 10g) and 2s.

It would also be good to know what the best props for a 3s set up would be..

Cheers,

Shaun (now officially multicopter obsessive )

Welcome to multiple addictions!

but you'd better ask your questions in the dedicated FlyduMini thread:

Will do.. Thanks for the pointer....but as there has been lots of mini-ness in this thread I thought it was a good place to start.

Don't forget we need to encourage Paul to design a Flyduminihex... lets give him and indication of how many people would want one..... Me please...

Camera?

Hi guys , finally I managed to fly my first quad.
Now I would like to start with the second step , adding a camera.
I am totally nob here , can you confirm me the step required?

1) build or buy something like this with 2 servo ( 3 if I want start and stop filming function)

2) connect the servo on flyduino pitch e roll entry (44 and 45)
and 46 if I want a switch on / off button on camera

3) abilitate on gui camstab and camtrig.

that's all , is that right?

Thank you
Andrea

Yep, that should do.
But on the gimbal you linked you can only attach a small FPV or keychain cam.

Hi Andrea,

have a look at this one http://quadframe.com/collections/fro.../products/g01k

Looks expensive but believe me, it's with it's price!

Thank you for you suggestion , it seems sturdy and well build but I am worried for the weight, I have only a quad with dt750 and it weight with battery ( 4A ) 1,250 Kg.

I'll think about it.

[QUOTE=flow23;20060161]I'm also building a flydumini and I try to use the ppm with my HK T6A V2 receiver on channel 7[QUOTE]

Not sure, if somebody has answered? Just try it this way:

#define SERIAL_SUM_PPM PITCH,YAW,THROTTLE,ROLL,AUX1,AUX2

But it depends on the channels you used at your er9x-configuration. I used:

channel 1: throttle
channel 2: roll
channel 3: pitch
channel 4: yaw
channel 5: aux 1
channel 6: aux 2

Really strange - have the same issue with MultiWii 1.9 - no gyro reaction. If I use 1.8 patch 2, everything is fine. Have no resistors here at the moment to test it. Cannot really understand, why pullup resistors are needed for the one firmware and not for the other...

Is there a way to add a status led?
I can't see it underneath the sensor board and I'd like to port a small status led outside the electronics cover.
Thank you

Hi olaf,
I meant to use the sum signal on pin 7 of my receiver. I don't get any output when I try to use it (uncommented line in the code). Using no sum signal works and therefore 1-5pin use works. Can anybody help? Do I need to set up the Eurgle transmitter with er9x differently for using sum signal on pin 7?

Yes, I understood - I also use the battery pin for sum signal with the HK-TR6A V2. Have you connected the battery-pin with the throttle input from the flydumini? What happens in the GUI, when moving the sticks around - nothing, or will the throttle go up sometimes for a few milliseconds?

The description of the channels was because you can change the channel-order - so if you use another channel-order on your transmitter than I use, you have to change line of code. I'm not sure, if it is important, but because it's only a 6 CH-Receiver, I only used the following line:

#define SERIAL_SUM_PPM PITCH,YAW,THROTTLE,ROLL,AUX1,AUX2

no CAMPITCH or CAMROLL...
