I cant really say there are so many WMP versions out there, yours may have a onboard reg?
My bob should give 3 options of powering the wmp 5V 3.3V and D37 (same as D12 in function).
I will skip the D37/D12 support in future versions as i dont really see a need for it (and hope also rays sensors will continue to work ).
Paul you ruined my sleep tonight, I got up in the middle of the night to check my build blog:

then I laid to rest again and slept like a baby.

At last I did something right.

Less cable clutter, more ch. available in some setups. I use Jeti PPM receivers and like the telemetry functionality to know how much mAh is consumed by my kopters.

Oh, did I mention they are chaeper and smaller, so less weight?

@ Jevermeister, very sorry about, i know the problem.
As far is see you are using the 3205 clone without the zis_dm mod?
As a regluar WMP?
But i see you are usng the 3.3V, you should be fine with that in most cases, and are absolutely safe.

@ Jonny, they GPS bobs are on their way, may some parts are needed to complete it and i didnt ordered some modules till now, but will.
I am really unsure i will let them make or offer a diy kit.
I think last option is may the best.
Got some GPS cables, but was the wrong pitch, will get replacement with hopefully the right pitch soon.
For FMP04 owners, this should be a easy soldering task, only a few THD, 10 min. work.
The PA6 is in a relative small pitch, have to check if you can solder it easily, i think it will be possible.
So i think i will stock a diy kit bob, and some single PA6 modules.

This is what i will get

The coin cell is quite big, but i decided to go that size as its the most common and for capacity the cheapest you can get.
I wont recommend using a external antenna, its possible on the FMP 04 and there is aslo a version from the PA6 with this option, but both have a good cermic type antenna integrated and i think you will easily have a worse result using a external antenna, this 100% perfectly calculated ceramic antennas plus the the nice gnd lane underneath will care for a really good signal.

Is it a clone? I did not know that, I bought a used WMP from eBay.
Hmm is this clone worse than the orig. WMP?
I need some comparisons between the clones

allready on the way, i am pretty sure you will read something next week here.
A Diy kit will be below 10€, plus the module (FMP04 or PA6, may will offer some PA6 modules), plus a cable for a good €.
This is with tax, which will be deducted in your case as with all who order in my shop and are outside europe (of course you are in eurpope, but you know....).

ok its no 3205, its written on the chip, there are good working clones as far i know.
You may have IDG655 based one, which not works with 400khz, those 3.3V are fine it that case.
Also hab a nice working clone unit.
You may dont encounter a difference as yours seems to have own 2.8V regulator onboard, so both work 5V and 3.3V.

Okay one last question concerning this issue:
I have exactly this board here:

It is shown in Blue Angel's Build Blog:

I thought, until now, that it is a genuine WMP

ok you guys have me quite interested here... I have built many mikrokopters and want something different....

is the first page the most up to date like other threads? or is there somewhere in the middle I should start reading...

Any tips on what to read for this and where to buy all the parts (north america) would be greatly appreciated.
