This sucks so badly, we should not have to be replacing so much stuff on a new airplane when so much is paid for it.
I have not flown mine as yet, no time, picked up APC prop and trying to find batteries with more capacity without adding too much nose weight.
Seeing more failures guys are having is making me
Spoke with HH and awaiting their "upgraded" motor mount in the mail.
Will let you guys know when I maiden mine, hopefully it will be a good post!!!!!!!!

I become a victim of the carbon z yak issues, my problems started with the magnets coming unglued from the access cover along with the switch. Today how ever the motor mount sheared off in all 4 legs, this caused my plane to pull hard to the right and forced me into a controlled crash. Now my flawless plane has serious hangar rash and a broken pieces, it's a shame since it's a sweet flyer. Over 25 flights since major issues.

They should have sent out a request for all the hobby shop owners to tell ppl interested in the yaks to get the replacement mounts or better yet send the hobby shops mounts to sell with the airplane.

whether to cover it under warranty. I cannot guarantee the plane will be
replaced under warranty. You have a 50/50 chance and their decision to
cover it under warranty is final.

Comments: I purchased a carbon z yak and now I have become victim of

Sorry for the loss Justin. Sucks that you have to send it in on your dime. I would make them pay the shipping. Call, request a manager call back (takes 1 - 2 days), ask for a call tag for your plane (suggest just sending in the motor mount as it would be cheaper for them and that's all they really need to see in the first place), and go from there. They did reimburse me "some" for the hundreds of dollars I had in the plane, hopefully they will do the same for you.
In the end, the plane was too much work and money for me....I moved on...

I have referred out local dealer to the sight as well. I suppose that since I said that my purpose was to inform and not claim, that they ignored me.
BTW. one of the guys at our field and a flyer for more than 25 years totalled his first CZ yak as it entered an uncontrolled spin. He originally thought that it may have been a broken aileron link but it was still connected when he viewed the corps. He then summised it was random rc interference as he was not on 2.4 g.
Unfortunately, I did not know of his purchase or crash, other wise I would have referred him here. He bought a second CZ Yak and a Spectrum 6i the model crashed on maiden take off. Not too much damage but it still looks very well used. The problem.... a screwed rudder servo. This time I got to talk to him and refer him here.
It is plain immoral for this to continue so far into the model's sales life. Does someone have to be seriously hurt before action is taken? It would appear that financial hurt does not trigger responsibility. J

If you knew what you know today about this plane, would you still buy it?
Yes not cheap, and if you must replace prop, engine mount and elevator servo to make it right....!... Seems somewhat sad and expensive ... You'd expect this from HK... Not HH!
I love the look, but finding hard to justify the cost of it all....
What you guys think?

Chris - how much for the BNF or PNP? Here it is $299 and $399 if I remember correctly.
I would think these would also be more expensive down there.

I did have just a moment to talk to QQ today at Nall and I know he wants everything on this plane to be flawless, could not be a nicer guy. Hopefully it is there now and all the issues have been worked out. Still not a huge HH fan since the whole deal ended up costing me a lot of time and money, but live and learn.
