Now you getting too high tech.
Be careful on those adult beverages of your choice. Drink way too many of them and you're liable to start looking like me.

What the hell!!!......beer,soda its the same thing/size!!!.....you better build a good solid mount `cause this monster can rip your inside hull in one pull!!!!...you can later on try Peter Zicha.....hes very affordable, specially if it is for a one bracket mount only.,,,,,
You can probably ride on top of this monster whenever its done..........

Did someone mentioned the possible availability of a 2028??!!.....lol...if so let me know!!!!,....Albert
They are available at offshore electrics right now!

Grooved the ends of my "PVC coupler" jacket, added some grease and slid it on..............the O-rings are from a Feigao 580L jacket..............had to stretch them just a bit but they are just fine................pressure tested well!

Hey Scorp. Got your micrometer handy? I've still been working on getting a mount into production for this monster. Here's a little copy n paste from the most recent email.
-------------------------------------------------------
Bill,

There are two (known to me) variations on a 30mm hole spacing: 4 and 6 holes, I make both. Castle probably uses 4 as that is the standard for cars and trucks. Leopard is 6. Neu (1527) is a odd ball with 25 and 30mm 4 hole patterns and oval cooling holes. This is new in the last year.

Iíve heard that Leopard makes the Castle motors but that has not been confirmed, looking at the link you sent the motor does look like a Leopard, but longer than the 5692 by about 30mm, a coke can measures about 122mm.

To make a mount for that I would need to know:

1. Hole spacing: 30mm

2. Hole pattern 4 or 6

3. Diameter of the can to the 1/10 of a mm.

4. Position and size of any cooling holes in the front end bell

5. on tilting bottom mounts the distance from the front of the motor to the just in from of any screws hold the rear end bell.

Jim

Dont have a micrometer...............and getting measurments within 1/10 of a mm is almost impossible with my wooden ruler from second grade. He may have to get a motor to do it...........or when i get the second one in i could possibly send it to him.............kinda stickin' my neck out though sending a $300 item around the country.

Speaking of mounts..........made the motor mount............now need to make the brackets to bolt to the stringers.............had to run to the hardware store to buy a 90* dremel drill attatchement to drill the holes for the brackets............

Man.............everything takes like four times longer than i would have thought, didnt feel like i got anything done today which is my day off. Mounted the servo's too, but there had to be dremel modding etc.............
