I agree with Helldiver, when the Hurc dropped to $230 at the LHS, I got one, I always had my eye on it but I think there is a price barrier for a foam model that approaches $300 no matter what size, more than 3 bills I have to go wood or glass construction, I consider $250 and under sort of throw away price. Of course when the Hurc dropped to $150 I bought 4 because I knew it would be a good model even though I had not yet flown the first one, it is unfortunate that many don't understand the historic significance of the Hurc, its partnership with the Spitfire was crucial in the Battle of Britain, like Churchill said, " never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few" and he was talking about the Hurricane and Spitfire pilots ( I hope I got that right, it was from memory) .

I picked my Hurricane airframe up today at the P.O. Box.

I own a few 1400mm warbirds, and the finish and markings on this model look very nice!

I grabbed the elevator and got the 3 main colors made up at the hardware store and started plotting my build.

Found the stock 25 1000kv motor off RCGs for a good price so I'll run that on 4s.

Already did a little dremel work and test fitted my retracts, and started to plan on how to route the lighting kit.

Got to say I'm impressed with the model! Looking forward to getting her airworthy.

I hope HH does make another warbird in this size, (Spitfire).

Always wanted a Hurricane of this size in the hangar. This one will look great next to my 1400mm spitty.

Look forward to seeing your work. Are you going to do a repaint then also?

Guys,

I am in the process of getting touch up paints for my model.

Without looking all over this thread, can anyone point me to someone who has found the exact or close enough paints (Acrylic if possible) for this model?

I mostly use Model Masters Acrylic paints.

Thank you!

Pitt, one of your photos looks like my avatar! I would of thought you would of worked for HH with the quality of those photos. Love this plane!

I might have to get one and just see how it looks. thanks again.

Maxx prod MPI used to have a blunt one metric sizing.
