Hi,
Thanks for the info....I've printed if off and will use as a reference. Regarding rudder/elevator mix....did you really mean to say -20% left/+35% right?

I'm guessing you meant +20% left/+35% right.

Thanks,
Mondo

So, I caved and picked up a "spare" PNP just to have parts on hand if needed.
With the price of a wingset or Fuselage at $60+ I think it's justified.

On a side note, I hope someone in the RC plane industry takes note that at the right price point, there is definitely a market for a Hawker Hurricane Mk I around 1400mm or so.

I got in three more batteries of flights today at the local field. Weather was a beautiful 70 with winds 3-5 mph and the Hurricane handled it like a champ! I was amazed at how solid this plane flew through the wind as compared to some of the other planes at the field today. Landings were a breeze although I landed with half flaps only due to the headwind.

Temperature of the ESC (stock) never exceeded 120 today at any point (love the telemetry). The stock ESC has no problems at all with flaps/retracts.

Maybe they already have. I've seen items be discontinued but never at such a discount. This is kind of funny and there is some Hurricane in here.

Repaint So Far

I started painting mine finally. Just need to order the decals and once I have the side i.d. letters on I can determine the width of the white band around the tail. Might also paint the prop tips unless I get that 3 blader I saw a few posts back.
Paints used:
Brown & Green are color match from Home Depot off the battery hatch.
Flat Black Spray- Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra.
Flat White (for the spinner): Rust-Oleum.
Green in the gear wells, flaps, and inside of gear doors (I found in a real pic to be darker than zinc green), Apple Barrel "English Ivy Green".
Weathering: Tamiya Acrylic Aluminum, and pastel sticks with my finger. The airbrush is in dire need of cleaning, so I did it by hand and brush.
Painted the pinstripe around lower left roundel with Tamiya flat yellow using a detail brush and steady hand.

Didn't paint the fixed gear plates since she'll be getting retracts soon. Not my best work, but overall it's satisfying enough.

Derik, that looks fantastic.
Isn't it amazing how good you can get these models looking when you're passionate about the customisation subject.
Bloody great mate.

Great job. But, please make the holes for the bullet casing ejection black, since normally they are open

If I had it my way, I would have like 5 of these on the wall for decoration...but apparently I have too many planes.

Mondo1948, the signs on the mix is correct. They must be that way because the elevator must always move up. This is the mix using a JR radio, so your signs may be backwards. Check the mix with the plane on once you program it to make sure it is correct. Move the rudder left, elevator should go up a little. Move the rudder right, elevator should go up a little.
