Nice. Did you make new levers yourself, or modify the existing ones ??

Sorry if this may sound stupid, I'm looking at buying a Jeti DC-16.
If you have one how do you like it?
Are there any software issues?
With the Transmitter Cross Strap, dose it cause any back pain? And
Is the DC-16 heavy?
Should i wait for the ds-16 or just go with the DC-16?

Over the years using a number of different tray/strap designs this is the style that suits me best. The weight is on the shoulders and I feel relaxed and comfortable.
It is noticeably heavier than my Hitec A9 but worth it for the build quality.
If you fly with a tray go with the DC-16.

Yeah, the one reason why im going for a Jeti DC-16 is because the build quality; it looks a lot like Leica build quality. And looks a lot better than Futaba and Spectrum transmitters, unlike the Futabas and Spectrum it dose not have any cheap plastic constriction... Well i cant wait to order mine Looks a lot like a Leica M9 in particular

Received my DC-16 yesterday, very pleased, but the german manual isn't that much help for those of use speaking english :-)

I've worked out how to set-up a count down timer which is triggered on throttle up, however I'd like to set-up a voice alarm to tell me when it reaches zero… and ideally speak up as each minute passes. "six minute", "five minutes"… "zero"

Could anyone help?

English manual http://www.jetimodel.com/data_downlo...08-2012-6a.pdf

Read "Timers" in manual.

In short:

Go to "Timers/Sensors -> Timers" and edit your existing timer or add new one.
In timer editing screen set "Report type" to "Voice". Be shure that you have set "Sound profile" to "Beep+Voice" in "System->Configuration" menu.

If you like "Machines that goes Piiing",
Monty Python - Hospital Sketch (3 min 32 sec)

like I do, then unzip and copy attached file "TimerV.jsn" to your DC-16 SD card to directory "Config". Upon timer expiration it should say "Piiing"

With setting to "Voice" the system counts down last 10 seconds and beeps.

If you have one how do you like it? Have it (DC16 since 5 months now), love it! Also own Spekky DX7 & 8 since before but the DC16 is a class of its own against all other IMHO
Are there any software issues? The software works fine, and the Jeti team is continuing to add more features for free so no complaints from me
With the Transmitter Cross Strap, dose it cause any back pain? And
Is the DC-16 heavy? Nope and no, if anything a tray radio/cross strap solution is better for long-term use since it reduces the risk of stress in the neck (as from neck-strap use).
Should i wait for the ds-16 or just go with the DC-16? I only used hand-held transmitters before the DC16 and I don´t regret going tray on the Jeti, if anything it gave me the push to learn pen-grip on the sticks which I find great now. But radio style is a personal choice, if you like tray or can adapt to it go for the DC16, if not then wait

Self centring on both sticks? - Is it possible?

Hi All

I understand from earlier posts that changing a transmitter from mode 1 to mode 2 requires the stick assemblies to the swapped. Is this because the two stick units are mechanically different?

Is it possible to have both of the stick units set up so that they self centre on the vertical axis?

I spend all of my time flying gliders and would like to have the throttle stick set so that it self centres, instead of having a ratchet. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance

Keith

Hi

Bo - Thanks for the link, that's great news.

I'm sure there are a number of reasons people want both sticks to be self centring.

Mine is that I use the throttle stick to control the flaps and crow brakes on my aerobatic gliders. The flaps are set so they are in the neutral position when the stick is in the centre.

Cheers

Keith

does anyone know what program/computer voice name jeti have used for their speach files?

i'd like to generate some custom voice commands, but want to match the voice.

had a go with the various voices on the mac, but can't find one which matches.

i also noticed what i think is a glitch on my dc-16 telemetry voice report, when speaking the antenna values the voice seems to cut-off, as though there's a missing word from the voice library.

other than that, and a spelling error in one of the sub menus, i think this is a superb radio, very pleased i made the switch to jeti.
