Yeah, the one reason why im going for a Jeti DC-16 is because the build quality; it looks a lot like Leica build quality.
And looks a lot better than Futaba and Spectrum transmitters, unlike the Futabas and Spectrum it dose not have any cheap plastic constriction... Well i cant wait to order mine Looks a lot like a Leica M9 in particular

Received my DC-16 yesterday, very pleased, but the german manual isn't that much help for those of use speaking english :-)
I've worked out how to set-up a count down timer which is triggered on throttle up, however I'd like to set-up a voice alarm to tell me when it reaches zero… and ideally speak up as each minute passes. "six minute", "five minutes"… "zero" Could anyone help? |

Read "Timers" in manual. In short: Go to "Timers/Sensors -> Timers" and edit your existing timer or add new one. In timer editing screen set "Report type" to "Voice". Be shure that you have set "Sound profile" to "Beep+Voice" in "System->Configuration" menu. If you like "Machines that goes Piiing",
like I do, then unzip and copy attached file "TimerV.jsn" to your DC-16 SD card to directory "Config". Upon timer expiration it should say "Piiing"

The obvious and simplest thing to do is ofcourse to use the speach system, if this satisfy your needs. However, if you want a specific timer/readings, you can make an audio file with exactly the messages you want, and arrange them in time. You can do this simply on the PC with the Windows Narrator (screen reader), then edit the recorded audio (or use the original audio messages in the transmitter audio folder) and arrange it in time in a free audio editor like Audacity or similar. Just trigger the sound file at the same time as you trigger a freerunning timer. Regards |

Self centring on both sticks? - Is it possible?
Hi All
I understand from earlier posts that changing a transmitter from mode 1 to mode 2 requires the stick assemblies to the swapped. Is this because the two stick units are mechanically different? Is it possible to have both of the stick units set up so that they self centre on the vertical axis? I spend all of my time flying gliders and would like to have the throttle stick set so that it self centres, instead of having a ratchet. Is this possible? Thanks in advance Keith |

Hi
Bo - Thanks for the link, that's great news. I'm sure there are a number of reasons people want both sticks to be self centring. Mine is that I use the throttle stick to control the flaps and crow brakes on my aerobatic gliders. The flaps are set so they are in the neutral position when the stick is in the centre. Cheers Keith |

does anyone know what program/computer voice name jeti have used for their speach files?
i'd like to generate some custom voice commands, but want to match the voice. had a go with the various voices on the mac, but can't find one which matches. i also noticed what i think is a glitch on my dc-16 telemetry voice report, when speaking the antenna values the voice seems to cut-off, as though there's a missing word from the voice library. other than that, and a spelling error in one of the sub menus, i think this is a superb radio, very pleased i made the switch to jeti. |
