Well Jeti did and does the development of their TX's with taxpayers money. They are highly subsidized by the European Union.
Latest announcement ist that the TX will be on the market "early" next year. We will see what they understand by early. Price is going up from originally announced $1080 to now $1400.

And pilots still fly illegal with Jeti in US. So just this weekend Gernot Bruckman from Austria did win the freestyle competition in the 2011 TAS in Tucson using his Jeti TX.

So the company seems to be a little more equal and more advantaged in a global market.

No, jeti model confirmed that the body of the production version
will be the same as shown in Prague = milled aluminum. The stick
assemblies will be the same (milled aluminum) too.

More expensive, no magnesium body and the production will start
after Nürnberg Toy Fair 2012 instead of 2011 fall, too bad news
for me at all.

As some other radios 10 years ago, 9Z for example

> 2. Shape of the radio
Hmmm... maybe, but I wouldn't call it stellar as ergonomy

> 3. Extremely long working time with one battery-load
As any 2.4Ghz radio today ! As my Evo 14 hours from 2s LiIon 2400mAh or my T9C 12 hours from 1500 mAh 3s liFe, both after conversion to Frsky.

> 4. No plastic inside or outside, aluminium instead
Again not sure if a first, even in RC. What about DX10T case ? Even not metalic, that's the kind of case I wish to have in hand.

> 5. Engineered and build in Europe
Like my Evo

You forgot the real only one: first radio with bling factor

Would be nice of this thread would just have info about the systems rather than all these people who have no interest in purchasing Jeti products bashing it for whatever reason.

I'm not a fanboy of anything. I use technology to suit my needs and will switch if it suits me. Currently using Jeti in a Multiplex Profi 4000 as I fly anything from F3P using 3g receivers up to IMAC planes using the big full range recievers. Previously I used Spektrum and have a DX8 (we won't go into why I'm on my 3'rd) which I used for the ultra micro gear.

All brands seem to fail to meet dates. MC32 still a pipedream it seems and the DX10 keeps getting pushed back and that came out before the Jeti.

Renatoa mentions his Evo. That was released very late, manufactured in China with appalling quality control and a large number of failures initially. I loved mine eventually; even wrote part of the unofficially official tutorial for it. Got fed up of waiting for promised updates for the Expo fix and sold it for Spektrum.

Multiplex have a 2.4ghz solution without FCC. Europe is a big enough market for them I guess at the end of the day. Neither firm seems to be crying over not breaking into the US market.

Your EVO was made in The Philippines by HiTec. Check the label on it.

Maybe not the first, check some of the new JR-radios or the Futaba's (MZ 14/18), but it has a bling-factor, that's for sure.

Not all the people, which would never buy this Jeti-TX are bashers, why you think so?

Every newcomer in this small market is welcome, because it is a competitor and more competitors keep the price down for all the others.

Perhaps made in the Phillipines, but not by HiTec - HiTec does not now, nor have then ever owned Multiplex, much like Multiplex does not, have they ever owned HiTec. They share a *COMMON* owner, but have zero subservient relationship between them, but do act as each others distributors in their own countries.

Very strange behavior for a self-proclaimed intellectual.

I didn't like the trim on the evo. Too easy to hit the wrong one. I think plenty of people feel that way.
