Make a picture of your ESCs and post it, than we can compare. I have both the series 1 45A ESCs and the series 2 65A ESCs lying around here somewhere for the comparison.

Cheers,
Henrik

I replied as soon as I received your Email.
Boxes have not changed, thousands already in print ;-)

I'll do that as soon as I get the chance. Will a picture of the ESC installed in the plane be sufficient? I'm not sure how to remove one from the plane and I don't wish to tear this plane apart fearing something may get damaged.

I am confident (at least hoping) that Cliff knows his product and it's encouraging to see that he responded to rogerio so quickly.

Here's the Sebart Mig 29 Setup File for the DX18, keep in mind you need to be using the channels per the manual... ;-)

I thought you were going to use the DX8.

Henrik, here are some pictures of my ESCs that show as much as possible without taking them out of the plane. Please tell me what you think. I'm sure rogerio will be interested to know as well. Thanks.

You got the new ESCs.
The old ones had a finned cooling plate

Thank you. So the new ones don't need the cooling as much?

Same esc's as mine + 2 mates (pics I previously posted). Flown hard on 38deg celsius days here. Hot to touch after flying but no failures. Lots of unique fun once you know what to expect. All 3 here are still going strong.

These are not the v1.0 models, they have finned aluminim heat sinks. Looks like you have the newer flavor...

As others wrote: Yours look exactly like my version 2, 65A ESCs, and NOT like my version 1, 45A ESCs.

So happy flights then !

Cheerio,

Thanks everyone for the confirmations. I'm just finishing up another plane now. Should be able to get started on the Mig soon and get to fly it before the weather turns lousy.
