Anybody see the cover of this months AMA magazine? That's me flying the Mig-29 at SEFF. Pretty cool they used that for the cover.

Sebastiano goes to China

Hello there,

my friendly distributor, who cares for my dead-ESC-MiG, told me that Mr. Silvestri is en route to China and will arrive there tomorrow. Appararently, he'll meet the manufacturer and talk things over. If my information is correct, Mr. Silvestri will put the "we have 2x45A ESCs but the motors draw over 100A"-issue onto the table.

Let's hope that this is true and that we will get results. I am grounded for three weeks now without a replacement and could use a silver lining.

Cheers,
Henrik

I forgot. It's also on the cover the September issue of Fly RC too.

Since I am heading out for vaca tomorrow, I had only little time to inspect the kit.
My takeaways so far:
- every servo and gyro perfectly glued in
- good soldering of the (in my view too thin for 100A+) cables
- all servo pushrods w/o slack
- excellent finish of the surfaces (compared to other foamies)
- a really complete kit, even with 5min epoxy included

Of course no way to compare with the Sebart F3A kits, but definitely upper class compared to the usual foamie stuff at our club.

The ESCs look the same as the ones from the first series, but Hacker told me they should be fine now.

So the "mechanical" part looks OK, now I hope the "electrical" part of the ibspection will be equally positive.
Keep you posted when I am back.
Cheers
Stephan

... So any update? What do you think?

Got an Email from Atlanta Hobby saying the Seb Mig29 is now shipping. Their website still says backordered. I found it funny that some one wrote a 5 star review and said he is looking forward to recieving it.

The five-star rating was by Cole, who has been flying the plane for quite a while now. Ah, the Atlanta Hobby website, not the Hobby-Lobby one.

I read the review on Atlanta Hobby's site and wanted to clarify all he wrote was "Looking Forward to it"*****; so it is not a 5star "review", just an eager pilot...

They had not arrived while I was there but they do expect them in today.
