You still need a good finish on the plug.

Thanks for the info Kevin,

After reading up on face coating, I agree with you and Rodger, it will be the way to go. I will add it to the list to learn. I just got the clear canopy I ordered for it so I still haven’t finished the sanding the foam in the nose area yet. This was planned to be a slow project. It will give me more time to save up money for face coat I think it will be about 75.

Wow Mark, don’t hold your breath on that maiden vid,

I still have to figure out how to cast a mold, lay up fiber glass in a mold, get it to pop out in one piece, then design the internal structure, pick power parts, put it together ,so in a year or two finish it and then hope it will fly.

Dude your stressing me out.

Gee this is fun though!!!!

just make your mold into a few pieces, so you can pop each piece out easier, then put it all together and bond it and simply take it out of the mold in one piece. I have to figure out exactly how to do that with the Jaguar, but I'm lucky that the Jag is pretty boxy in design, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I stopped by Jeff's last night to drop off some Hydrocal and pick up some gear I had loaned him. Got a good look at the plug. The pictures don't do it justice and Jeff's done a great job. The plug reminds me a lot of John Morgan's work. Maybe Jeff better keep it under lock and key lest Mr. Morgan comes by and trys to put one of those spinny things on it's rear end.

Hay Vic,

Greg is making it out your way in a couple of weeks so if you have any scratch –N-dent 100HV ESC’s send one home with him. Here I go again getting parts together before I even have a shell.

Thanks again Dan for making it over to discuss the methods you have learned. The plan is coming together.

John has for sure given me many pointers on the fuse shaping.

Dan; you brought up a good point about those double edged blades John uses and that they can be quit dangerous. I just happen to have received a spare funny looking multi prop device with a built in safety shield. Being concerned for our Senior RC guru’s safety it is of the utmost importance that John should immediately adapted the next J design jet to this safety measure.

I did get the 90mm Changsun fans today and they look good. The adaptor does need some work but I like the shape. I also got this huge 8 amp BEC for a separate 2s receiver and servo power but it’s a tank.

The thing I got out of those pictures was the tiny little white foam dust on the the senior prop thingy. One of the drawbacks of working in foam, the dust is everywhere.
If the EPA ever stops to check my shop out, they would shut me down.
F-11........Hmmmmm????????

Hi John,
Jeff's in for a long haul to get his done. Hopefully he has it flying by E-Jets in September. When I was looking at the plug the other night I was kind of surprised you hadn't built one yet. It's right up your alley even if you are going to stick one of those spinny things on it's rump.
