Gulf States Electric Funfly 4/2/2011

 
 
GULF STATES ELECTRIC FUNFLY
AMA required (can join at the field) 
APRIL 2, 2011
Early birds encouraged
Even though this is a one day fly in Club members will be at the field Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
 We have a 500 foot concrete runway with plenty of groomed run out and 1000 feet parallel grass runway.  7200 sq. ft. of canopy on concrete slab with 42 4'x8' tables with electric outlets at each one.   Six RV electrical hook-ups (first come - first served) plus unlimited RV parking.  Our  800 sq.ft. Clubhouse is air conditioned and heated with full kitchen . The field is conveniently located 8 miles off of I 10 in Sulphur Louisiana .

Looks like a fine field. I hope you have a good turnout.

I noticed in your club's photos that your field doesn't have "pilot" stations. My club has a chain link fence pilot stations to "protect" us all. I guess next they'll dig foxholes to jump into. Never mind you have a better chance of getting hurt trying to get yourself home.

Klvin,It gives us freedom to roam,a moving target is harder to hit.Really guy's this should be a beginning of a great event !

I am reworking my e-powered Sig 40 sized Rasical to use a 4 cell battery an plan to fly it at the fly-in.See ya'll there

Yep, there is tons of room. Huge canopy area and lots of large tables to put planes and gear on.
