Hi guys, just wanna to ask you about tx-should I buy 2801pro instead of 2603 or should I buy devo8? I'll buy trex so thats the reason why i think about devo. And can you please tell me what is the main differences between 2801 and 2603?

I've never owned a 2801 but I do have a 2603 and a Devo 10. The 2603 is very hard to program and doesn't allow for for multi-point pitch and throttle curves. Since Walkera came out with the Devo series the 2801 is unsupported flying those. If you want the best bang for your buck go with the Devo 10. The 8 display is hard to see in the sun. You can pick up a 10 with receiver, for your trex, for around $150. Devo requires Deviation firmware to fly the non-Devo receivers.

A couple differences are that the 2801 enables you to store more than one model in the rx, and it provides control over nearly all heli settings. The 2801 was designed to compete with other popular txs on the market, the 2603 was not. The 2603 is well known to be limiting and cumbersome to program. If you plan on sticking with Walkera products for a while, then maybe you should consider the Devo 8, 10, or 12.

+ 1 on the Devo TX's.

If you are comfy with it you can flash the firmware on the Devo to fly several other Walkera RX's and other brand heli's as well. So going Devo is a good thing.

Ok. Thank you very much. I'll consider and choose devo 8 or devo 10. Btw I have my v400d02 ready to fly (replaced servos, setup done by navigator's properly setting) and now Im waiting for better weather. Then I ll inform you about my flight. Hope I'll have her on the air more than few seconds :-)

Thanks!

You maybe want a tail-boom support from RTF-HELI. He is back-ordered right now and is improving the design a little I believe.

Hey, does anybody here want to buy my V400D? It has brushless main motor and the same blades it came with. I have a lot of spare parts like main shafts and gear, tail motor mounts.

No going to get my Esky Big Lama back up and flying for her to play with. The 550 is going to take some time to get up and flying but is going to be a fun build. Have a trex 600 tail boom on her right now and going to be running 550mm blades or 600mm when she all done. BeastX is going to be the FBL system im going with and going to use my 2801 pro on this heli to.
