My V400D02 sits on work bench still. I have replaced damaged mounts and have metal geared servos but just not into repair mode. I was going to biuld my Exi Pro carbon version 450 and finish this togehter. Made a trade with neigbor and now have pretty nice 450 RTF. i did not bring my DX6i with me and will set up 450 with his help. This will give me Master c/p/ T-Rex clone to fly. Then finish the V400. V400 sure looks frail compared to 450. Anyway give me three nice out door birds to burn up some sky.

What do you guys set the low voltage alarm to in your Devo 10?

I set mine to 9 volts. I think damage starts to occur at 2.8 volts / cell.

If I am using a LIPO to power my tx, I like the alarm to go off around 10 volts, or about 3.3 volts/cell, well clear of the damage limit. If I am using regular ole Duracell batteries, then I go with the default setting of 8.0 volts.

I don't know who's seen this but a 3S LiPo may fry your Devo 10. It isn't designed to see voltage higher than 12 and most fully charged 3S's are 12.4- 12.5 volts. I made up a JST-M to JST-F adapter with a 1 amp rectifier diode in it which sits in the battery compartment. It drops the voltage by ~1 volt. See post #2055 and the bottom and go from there.

I don't know about this . . . when I put in 8 brand new Duracells, the total voltage often reads 12.3 to 12.5 volts, at least for a little while.

I have been running endloops in my Devo-10 and they seem to last pretty decent and charge in the TX. They are a touch warm when I check on them. The supplied charger never gets them warm so I'll avoid that in the future.

Does the Devo-10 have a PCB that will stop charging when they top off?

When I insert endloops the battery bar is maxed out but loses a bar in a little bit and the rate of loss seems to slow down as far as losing bars.

The charging is controlled by the charger, not the Tx, and would stop when complete.

I use 8 rechargable AA bats bought from xheli when i got my v400 two years ago (the green and gray ones, i think 2200mah). Fully charged the tx will read around 10.6 and i have the alarm set to go at 9.0

They say its not good to use the batteries in a tx when they get below 1.1v per cell. So my tx never gets down to 8.8v

Very nice flying. Usually I get bored seeing all the inverted stuff, it seems sometimes that's all there is to do with these things but you did some moves other than just being inverted that were really nice. Those long reversed loops looked nice.

What battery were you using there. Seemd like a nice amount of flight time. How about the specs on that build?

Thanks! Battery's i have 4, 2 blue turnigy 2200mah 40-50c thats whats in the video and 2 nano-tech 2200mah 25-50c all from hobbyking. I say at 6 min fly time but can get about 7 mins. Motor and ESC are from EBay from [hobby_cool_usa] there 450 motor and 40 ESC with 5 BEC and tail is brushless from rtf-heli.com and have the EBay [rchobbygear_plus] CONVERTER and using 2801PRO. Servo's are the hitec 5055 and swashplate is from a Blade 450 got off ebay. Blade are 325mm from HK to.

Nice setup! I like. That elevator arm must be kissing the 450 motor.
