Finally got my 3.5mm banana plug yesterday! Looks like I will be doing just as Wasp09 stated to install on my Blue Lipo 1300mah pack today.

Had another great full charge hover flight with no incident so I am really looking forward to some FF flights soon.

Earl,

I'm no pro, Im a dedicated noobie like most of the guys here.

The blades I got from Hobbypartz.com. EXI Carbon Fiber 325mm PRO 3D. I also got the yellow and black cf 325, they are the same as the 3D pros, but match the canopy better.

I've been flying the foam laminant blades from RTF. They are slightly longer, and lighter than stock blades, and will save your head and swash in a crash, but I really miss the feel of the 325mm. I'm gunna have to look for that size in foam, then I can practise my hardcore 3D and not be to afraid to crash.

twalace,

where did you get the 3.5 bananas from.

I orderd some 4.0 connectors but have not arrived yet. I was going to change the connection on the esc, but discovered that the connections on the blue lipos are opposite to walkeras connections. So, if i have to change the battery connetions anyway i might as well switch to the 3.5s.

Here is where I got my connectors: http://www.ampmodel.com/rc-accessori...-c-39_178.html

And yes it's easier to replace just the connector on the battery pack than everything. Just finished installing on my Blue Lipo pack with no problems.

Things to do this week.

I'm going to try and get my #1 up to snuff this week. With the brushless system installed and tested this weekend, Its time to install the HG5055 Servos, Metal Tail Boom Support (removing the struts), changing the Tail Fin/Motor Holder (cracked), and the Main Gear (a few teeth shaved in crash). And then set it all up to work with the EXI cf 325mm black and yellow main blades. The only thing I will need is to get my bigger batteries up and running.

So far so good

Got up this morning and was able to get the HS 5055s' in the servo brackets and ready to install. i took pics of the process and will post later. It was easier than I thought.

I also drilled the holes in my RTF metal boom support to fit, i got some from the "bad batch". No biggy.

Next, swap out the main gear, and put it all back together again.

I can't find the blades on their site. They don't have a search function. Tell me what i need to look under on their site to find them. Show us some good pics of your new servo nad how difficult they were to install. Also, do i need the brushless motor to handle the 325 blades or is the brushed strong enough?
Thanks,
Earl

Here is the link to the page,

http://www.rtf-heli.com/WALKERA_V400D02_SPAREPARTS.html

Here are another type of foam blades for the V400

I will post a blog about the instalation of the Hitec servos. I ended up doing a little extra moding to get them right. They are not the "drop in replacements" I was hopeing they would be. But, they are a little eaiser to install than the Turnigys.

HobbyPartz has 1500mas and also 2200mas in stock. I use the 2200s all the time and unless you are doing 3D, they work fine for normal flight and the flight time is awesome. Price for both Lips are very reasonable, however, they come with 4mm connectors.
