hey dex, usually if you are lifting anything most of us use a 4S pack.
I use anywhere from 4s2200 to 4s4000 packs. I do have 4xs 5300 packs too so I would say that is the max for me. Anything more than that and you are lifting too much battery IMHO I would really love to see just a square section that straps to the bottom of your quad. 7" square should do. This sqaure section would have an angled part on the front. In this angled part you would have a hole for the go pro to see through. behind that and indside the frame is where you would put a sorbothane pad, on top the pad goes the go-pro and a simple velcro strap over the go pro to hold it in place. the bottom of this square would be flat such that you can just land on its belly. the reason I want it square is so that you can move the battery back to compensate for the go pro weight up front.... Steve... just some thoughts.. |

ok we all hate to ask this, but it happens to everyone...
What is the crash survivability of the frame? Does it offer enough protection for the controller boards? Batteries: I use 3s-5000 or 4s-3300-4000. |

Extended arms?
Dex,
Is it possible to slightly extend the arms? So that one could fit 1245 propellers? BTW, very nice work. Having personally lost a hex at sea (pilot error ) and because we have lots of lakes in Canada, this is something I am very interested in. I just placed an order for 2 of them on your site....Thanks, Frederic |

![]() basically your advice is accepted thx., just the section will follow contours of the body.... Quote:
model is made with a weakened one link, tubes are the weakest, cheapest and the easiest to change so that survival is good, and when it breaks repairs are cheap and fast, just change the tube in a few minutes Quote:
it just depends on the length of the tube... I hope I answered all of the private messages... if not, remind me ![]() Questions and orders..: dex@dexmodels.com ....here I answer a lot faster ![]() and just to mention, I'm looking for dealers or group buyers if you order 10 models in the package, you get 20% off |
