New Product
DeX Quad

Hello, my name is Denis and I would like to introduce DeX Quads

This entire models are from composite materials.... and they can float

all my models are connected wet on wet, I do not use a vacuum, everything is handmade
because it is the only way when the strength, looks and weight are perfect and the only way to get models in one piece (top and bottom connected without the possibility of cracking in half)

I do not use paint on surface, just pigment for resin

colors:
Red, Blue, Orange, Green, Yellow, Black, camouflage black/white, camouflage blue/white and full carbon version

cool and useful feature: Recovery from upside down position on water

DeX Quad Water Recovery (3 min 5 sec)

DeX Quad
main parts are:
body
engine holders
and tubes

body and engine holders are stronger than tubes so only the tube will splinter when a crash occurs,
it is very quick and easy to replace parts after a strong crash

tubes are not glued to body and holders
on body and holders is a layer of transparent duct tape
so that the tube goes extremely tight on the body and engine mounts

tubes can be different lengths from 10cm to 20cm
10cm tube gives 50cm (20 inch) Quad diameter
empty Quad with 10cm tubes has around 250g

The best thing is that everyone can fly 10cm tubes or 20cm tubes in just a few minutes of work to replace them on the field

strength of the hull is excellent
I hit the asphalt road a few times and nothing yet

DeX Quad (4 min 7 sec)

.

DeX Mini Quad

12'' 305mm from shaft to shaft
model is in one piece ready for water, swims from 300g to almost 1kg, but the best floating weight is from 400g to 800g
glass fibre is from 140 to 150g
carbon fibre is about 110g, 120g

DeX Mini Quad Crash Test (7 min 10 sec)

.

DeX Micro Quad
190mm from shaft to shaft,
model is in one piece ready for water, swims up to 350g perfectly
model weight is from 30g up... but.... the best strength is from 50g to 55g especially for full carbon model and that's my target weight

DeX Micro Quad and Water (3 min 21 sec)

.

some more on PM or dex@dexmodels.com
I'll give my best with responding

wow, this is a very good response to the model

guys, thank you all for nice comments

I forgot to mention the full carbon version also...

production and sales will begin in approximately 10 days

I need to make a couple of DeX SAL models left behind and then I will be primarily dedicated to the Quad

I have a few ideas that would upgrade the Quad for FPV, but they are for now still only ideas

the same as "blindflight" mentioned to me.... I was thinking about making the interior,
but since I like to be very rough with models I really liked sponge as a simple solution....

I know that some will need "the interior" so this is first on the list....

and of course, do not be angry if I do not respond immediately to all your private messages....there are a "few" of them

Interior Idea?

"the same as "blindflight" mentioned to me.... I was thinking about making the interior,

Or just a interior contour piece that we could glue in and use.
Thanks

One tip for the fpv version don't make it out of carbon. Carbon blocks radio signals. Make it out of glassfiber.

Would be nice to have one carrying a waterproof GoPro HD in a nice camera mount.

However I'm having a little concern about the cooling of the ESC:s.

cooling is not a problem, you can land it in water

you're right....

my setup is:
1x KKmulticopter Flight Controller v.6
4x 2205C 1400Kv Brushless motor
4x TURNIGY Plush 10amp Speed Controller
4x GWS Propeller DD-8040
Turnigy nano-tech 3S 2650mAh

my flight time is from 12 to 15 minutes with this setup....

I have 2 covers for body
one has 4 small holes(8mm diameter) on it and another does not

If I use one with holes I have no problem, but this cover is only for normal flight and soft landing on the water

cover without holes, and permanently rubber sealing strip on the edge of the cover give me the option of a strong impact on the water
model can splash and dive even for a second when it hits the water... without fear that the water enters
but then with my setup I have 8-10 minutes of flight before the speed controllers overheats
this is easy to recognize becouse the model has a sudden lack of power....
then I wait a few minutes(2-3min) and then I can continue to drain the battery until the end

solution to this would be to use stronger(18A) speed controllers

but again... I mostly use cover with holes on top and I'm carefull about landing on the water
mainly because of ball bearings in the motors because they would quickly become rusty
