aquarium tubing.

Anyone got a picture of how aquarium tubing and plumbing washers are used ????

I have some Skyshark rods, Avia rods and other nice 2p wrapped carbon rods for my kites. Have read that most use a 6 mm rod but reduce it down at spots to 5mm to fit the stock hardware. Is that correct ?

Hello
I use basic carbone for mast and bme in 6mm diameter, and 4 mm for the jib bome.
I buy it in a big store for sport, for the nautical and wind sport supply.

As far as bowsies are concerned many just use the stock hardware or aquarium tubing to control adjustments. The only bowsies I used were for the jib attachment and the topping lift. For outhauls I have used plumbing washers or aquarium tubing.
I have a Mike Weston MM http://www.rcyachts.org.uk/epages/St...540/Categories,

The jib sheet control attachment is slightly different to the photos on mine

Great Boomer.
I have a carbon race version one coming from Cornwall Model Boats. They were on sale. They are not the fastest shippers though. Ordered Monday shipped today. Should have it next week some time.

It's the racing version and it didn't seem to need modification so I decided not to do any, it's my first sailboat after all. As a complete beginner with these things I find it very easy to sail. Also I found the kit to be very high quality and fun to build.

Carbon finish version - very nice looking package!

String
I was very fortunate to have been contacted a few days ago, by a fellow forum member, an avid rc sailor that had purchased a Carbon and a white racing MM kit, and a bunch of extra parts, servos, masts, extra hull and more. Really, just about enough to make up another race version.

Sadly, he found he wasn't be able put them together due to a health issue, and didn't want them to sit in his garage for years gathering dust. He knew I was in the market for a MM boat, and he contacted me, and made me a very gracious offer for the whole shootin match. It was more than fair!

I have two very close friends that are my sailing and flying buddies, and they are going to be sharing in this amazing stroke of good fortune. We now have the makings of our own match MM racing group.

I am happy to report that this very generous fellow, is able to sail his 1M boats, and will continue to be an avid and accomplished RC sailor.

All the build information that has been shared here on the fourm will be put to use in the next few weeks.

Should be fun.

Not sure if teh rigging guide is of any help.

Simply the O Rings (Tube) allows the rigging rope to be slipped between the O Ring & Boom & tied off by using another that O Ring Tube that can be adjusted by sliding along the boom. Replaces the standard Boom Clip & the C Clip arrangements.

Here is the Graphite Guide & another rigging idea using the Tube for Clew fitting.

Rubber "O" rings can also be used

Stabilit express questions

Andy
I bought Stabilit from Hobby Lobby 2 years ago wit a MM kit
but never started until this summer
and it was sent w/o
the measuring spoon so I have stopped at step of gluing hull and top.
Tried to order more from HL but have been unable to get off back order
for last 6 mos.
Just found out Graupner USA carries it, but I
Hate to get from them because of their high handling and postage costs
What is ratio for mixing?
Doe anyone have extra spoon that they would spare?
Thanks
Jim
