I was curious as to how long I could actually fly my wattage b-2 for using a 2s1p etec 1200 pack. I found out the other night. 48 minutes. This was a lot of throttling back and cruising for the second half of the flight. The first had a few loops and more powerful climbs but overall I was flying pretty mild.

The next day the winds were up quite a bit and I didn't really have anything I wanted to fly in the wind so I thought what the heck and tossed up the b-2. WOW. Was that ever a lot of fun. winds in the 15 - 20 km/h range with gusts but it handled it pretty good. Much better than I would have thought. Sometimes it was pretty hard to make much headway into the wind and the plane would really fly strange. For a while it was a homesick angel. I had to dive to get it to come down (thermal?) A little later I thought I had run out of juice as full throttle wouldn't keep it above 10 feet. Just when I was about to setup for a landing it zoomed up to about 30 and started flying normally again. It was a handful but I have to say that was some of the most fun flying I've had in a while.

Ps. In a dive the b-2 makes a really neat high pitched whine after a while :P
