Matt,
I wouldn't go with fabric and dope if I were you. If you are going for the look of fabric, but without the mess and trouble, try "Coverite 21st Century Fabric". I've used it on many models, it's almost as easy as regular covering with the exception that it doesn't shrink quite as well.

Coverite would be awesome. You don't have to really worry about the weight. My Saito .91 pulls it around at 1/4 throttle.

Guys,

Any preference on the type of glue for the 1/8 wire to the leading edge of the balsa rotor. I would like to use 30 min epoxy. Has any one ever had them separate under load?
Thanks,
Matt

You don't want to use anything that stiff. Better off using silicon or shoe goo.

Goo is the best. I made a mistake on the plans when I wrote 1/8 music wire. It is actually .156 or 5/32". Please check out my Blade Videos:

#17 Blades Part 1 (15 min 45 sec)

Video #17 Blades Part 2 (7 min 35 sec)

#17 blades part 3 (3 min 19 sec)

#17 Blades Part 4 (4 min 11 sec)

#17 Blades Part 5 (13 min 45 sec)

Well here it is so far

I should have it just about ready to cover in the next few days. I have decided to cover it in Ceconite and dope. Since I have not seen it done on this model I thought I would go a different direction and show my expertise.

Cheers,
Matt

Zapp Goo for sure and it sets up quickly. The liquid nail takes forever to set up.
