And "watermelon" is still a fruit, not a colour...
Please then explain "orange" as it is both fruit and color?

Guys how does the 109 stack up? The guys at my field have many allied birds and few axis so I'm thinking the 109 for a change of pace. Thanks for any input. pops57

Let me know the next time you eat a vermilion.

Wikipedia defines vermilion as an orangish red pigment...

Since I've had success with the P-51 I'd really like another one of these
fast, little things.

I know it has been asked over and over, but any word on when the new models will be released?

The other models that are currently available just don't appeal to me that much.

I had the bottom screw back out of the motor mount while I was trying 4s today. It sounded like fingernails on a chalkboard with a megaphone when the screw got sucked up into the motor. The motor went dead and I was able to get the Rare Bear down with just a crack to the wing. I had just tightened them up the night before. Guess I should put some lock tight on the screws. I hope the motor is still good. If not I have a replacement for it.

I will be checking those and/or adding loctite when I get home tonight!
Thanks for the heads up!

It would be a shame to have a problem around the motor area when I glued the crap out of the motor mount so THAT wouldn't be a problem

The Rare Bear kit I ordered from Banana arrived yesterday. Everything appears to be in order - motor got popped loose in shipping but should be an easy fix, verticle stab is not broken as some others have reported.

Am thinking about using a dab of low temp hot glue when securing the motor... My only concern is that the motor mount might transfer enough heat into the glue to liquify it but it is the easy, quick fix and looks like what the factory might have used. I'll probably use it on the vertical stab as well.

Anyone go through the trouble to hack in a rudder on the Rare Bear?

ITS prolly better off that the motor came off in transit instead of midflight. I used Gorilla glue on mine, regular CA would work too.

Gorilla Glue kills CA afa motor mounts are concerned - CA is as brittle as all fk. Gorilla has a bit of give in it - good for 'good vibrations'....

I got lucky with mine and the glue has been holding. But all the others that have them where I fly have used medium CA with no issues.
