I am thinking of this motor which is said to fit well the Merlin for aerobatic flights.

Diameter is a little bit more than 22, it's 26. Do you think that can fit ?
No,it is a mistake to buy this engine, the shaft no is still valid.
HK besides a mistake on their website:
This is the url http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=2110 to a powerfull engine for our glider, but in this item said:"This is an archived page. This product is no longer available and has been replaced by a newer product.
CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE NEW PRODUCT".
If you click here you can see this:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=12919

What is the problem???
The problem is the shaft, it is diferent, it is like your enginer, the Motor mount and Prop can not be screwed.
is another enginer that can put more potent than the original?
Sorry for my English.

I use small piece of EPP from a profile plane I built under the battery which gives a snug fit for a 460mAh in the forward compartment. CG seems about right, can glide around with or bring it in at a relatively quick speed. I did have an issue recently where I went to fly and motor sounded way to loud. Tore it down and the mounting screws had shaken use over the many flights I've put on it. Tightened down, and back in service. Just something to be aware of. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I've had with mine

Elevator not parallell with the wing

The elevator and wing where easy to mount with their type of snapp in mounts, but I discovered they are not parallell to each other. I do not see anny way to adjust them. Is there any else who might have discovered the same? Will it have remarkable negative influence in flight performance?

Mine is the same way. I have 50+ flights on mine and haven't had any issues. I have twisted the whole tail section the other way to correct it. It has helped some but it isn't totally straight yet. Just be careful when you twist the tail section because the little side spars may come loose. One of mine did so I had to reglue it.

The tail on mine was twisted as well.
I peeled off the side spars rear of the wing and it sprung back into shape.
Obviously they were glued in under tension.
I then reglued the spars and have had no problems since.

Heating up and bend could help.

Thanks Guys, we had a lot of fun . . well not sure if my son enjoyed having a Magpie chase his plane most of the time.

I was just wondering has anyone purchased a Kinetics that was straight? Mine was bent like a banana straight out of the box. I should post a picture of its Ailerons Neutral Trim! Looks like it should do a roll as soon as you throw it lol

my modifications and my mistakes.

I put my bad shopping for other newbies like me do not say the same mistakes
Click into de picture to see big size.

The Kinetic, no t had a rudder casing pipe, I had to use shrink tube two twice, one hot and one not hot so that one fits inside the other, not find a better solution, I am newbie

Increase with the help of a knife the size for the servos (1,2kg and 6gr de weight), these are Turnigy TGY-1600A:

in this position does not fit, it is also very heavy:

Engineer is a horrible mistake, is useless, should have the axis on the other hand:

1550 and 1000 and 40A esc

It is very thin:

It is very big:

can anyone advise a more powerful engine than the original is suitable for the kinetic and that fits easily? (in HK)
As you can see my Engine is not worth.
Thanks.
