Read about the death spiral.Not sure I want it now.So disappointing.Anyone recommend something else?I have the axn,which is very stable but useless in aerobatics

Regarding the "Death Spiral". I've been doing some testing and can create it on command. The planes seems to float forever at about 10-12 MPH (very rough guess). It seems to stall at about 7-8 MPH. But, if you give it ANY UP ELEVATOR at 10-12 MPH the nose will drop immediately and it will crash if within 10' of the ground. IE. Just when you flare for landing it doesn't go up at all, just drops like a stone.
I like the size and power of the plane. Still looking for something this like this, but more predictable. Any suggestions? Mike |

With those of you experiencing this Spiraling Death Syndrome, what size batteries are you using and are you on or behind the recommended CG? I am running a 3s 800mah battery as far forward as possible and have never experienced anything as described. Mine runs a little nose heavy, so maybe that is why I have never experienced this issue.

I've got about 10 flights on mine. As long as you remember to NOT flare on landing and just let the plane land itself, you might be OK. The problem is that at approx. 10MPH, the plane seems to float forever.
By the way, mine weighs 11.1 oz. with an 850 3 cell LiPo. Mike |

I just set mine up with flaps, but have yet to fly it. Any one here test fly this bird with flaps yet?

I flew my Kinetic tonight and it is a great plane to wind down with at the end of the day. There was about a 5mph breeze to keep it gliding nicely. It is also so quiet and fun to fly in a small area. A very nimble plane when you want it to be.
I did try to stall it up high and it would tip stall. I had to slow it way down in order for it to do it. But, I noticed that mine being a little nose heavy helped to pull out of it quickly. KMan |

The Kinetic is a great, fun plane to fly, but it definitely tips stalls.. I'll post a video on this later, but in the mean time check out what happens when a wing breaks:
