misunderstanding and not knowing what your talking about.

I watched the video but only half of what he said is correct
whats correct :
the problem is inproper setup .of your heli gears ,yes I agree
this is also true of edf - unblanced rotor puts side loads on bearning's

what'S incorrect oil the bearing's these are the bearning for the motor
http://www.bocabearings.com/bearing-...2OS7AF2-4x11x4

they are SEALED bearnings . (see photo below) which means the
lub is sealed in and the bearning is maintenance free , so unless
the bearning becomes damaged no oil can get in.

at 4:00 in video (see photo) he is seen applying oil to stator
the bearning is located above in housing .

what he goes on to say at the end that is correct is that when
the heli is set up properly they have had hundreds of flights
with no maintenance and no problems.

conclusion , you can't oil sealed bearnings and if properly set up
you will not have any problem's. inproper setup will ruin your bearnings BEARNINGS ARE GOOD , BALANCE YOUR ROTOR
AND FLY AND HAVE FUN

I'm getting ready to start my build, I noticed from the early
photos that the upper hatch seem's to have beed moved
back on the fuse, from the earlier photo's
I would like to close the upper hatch and glass over it
where approx do the batterys sit ,I'm planing on using
2 3s 4000 packs
Good catch!
Yes, we relocated the battery bay almost 8 inch backward for CG issue.
The battery bay open on wrong position in the beginning. It cause the half of battery place after the bay.
Don't worry, all the 737 ship was after this amendment.
That why Windrider spend more time on each project.

Good! two pcs of 3s 4000mAh packs can bring you over 5 mins flight time.

thanks Ming

where do the battery's sit to get proper cg?

Well I will begin my build I'm still thinking about mod's
where as ming have done a great job on this there are little improvements
in appearance and maintenance I would like to start with.

the tail ,I will rehinge elevators and rudder and then cut a hatch
as marked by red line so the servo's for the rudder and elevators
will be located inside the tail (for appearance) hatch removable
for mainenance.

on the engine pods I which to split the bottom so the edf
units can be removed for maintenance - trying diffrent motors
ect , to be held in place with hidden screws.

I would like to close the top hatch and make a new one from
one of two places possable between the wing mounts or
on the bottem fuse between nose wheel and wing

It depend on the battery size, but most likely the battery is on the middle of wings(root).
Because the CG is just there or not more than 1cm backward.

Thanks ming

The hatch I'm think of in the photo is in the red , I would reinforce
the sides and make holders for packs with some ability to move them
fore and aft to achive proper cg, then run the balance plugs to
the wing bottem covers for charging

No, I don't. But the valley you see is remarkably flat... 100% level - water usually is

I have done some work on the tail-art today. I printed a test on paper and fitted it to the tail. This is the original:

Looks fantastic!

This has been the hardest/most enjoyable thread to follow while at work... there are more posts per second on this page than any of the other threads I follow

Do you all have jobs?

I'll get back to you on that, I still have to make some final adjustments, the picture has to be moved slightly upwards to be 100% correct
