Covering the fuse is a time consuming job and I have had my professional friend do it for me. Unless it would end up in a mess. It's a very difficult job to cover the curves of the fuse.

I have a question. If my planes weigh in at approx 2000g (4.4lbs) would a 3S LiPo performance setup with over 2lbs of thrust pulling in at Max power: 500+ watts be enough power?

Im planning on 10000mah worth of 3s.

My original plan was to use the HET 2w 500 watts max on a 3s setup but not sure if that will be enough power for the plane the auw may be around 6.6lbs is that right Sergey? keep in mind I am extra 170 grams max in vinyl.

I'm considering leaving the 3S trail... Mine will come out heavy due to both vinyl and the fact that I have done a lot of work on the fuse, adding weight...

If I end up at 3000g or about 6lbs I will have about 106W pr lbs That seems too low to me. I'll have to get hold of some new motors fast. We leave for the show in 18 days... Lots of things to do first!!

WOW thanks Ben so then for sure I am going to need a 4s setup right.

just tested one het 2w drawing 42.5 amps, 452 watts sustained at 20 seconds on 3s 30c 2200 mah.

I think AUW less than 3kg is good.

What did the 3 planes in your video Weigh in at?
They had 3S and 4S setups, but from the video I could not tell anything about the difference in performance. Maybe 4S would help to take off from a grass strip.

And what do you recommend as max AUW?

well my wings covered in vinyl weigh in at 486g plus the motor fans esc servos maybe total 850g? I wondering if I have enough power and about 2050g on the fuse
