Just had to share guys!!!
I'm quite proud of the original Boeing headware ![]() It's the frozen lake event again, where I maidened my 737 2 years ago... I have not flown the model a lot. Where I live in Bergen we don't have suited place to fly a bird like this I had one of the mains failing me upon landing, so I had to make a very smooth landing, in witch I succeeded, so I only had some scratches under one of the nacelles. I'll have to change the retract :-(Hope to fly again tomorrow! Ben_E |

Ben long time no hear. Its good to hear from you man. Glad you were able to make a successful landing with out major damage. I don't fly mines much either. Actually haven't flown mines since December of 2012 LOL. I post on here from time to time but I just let the new crew take over the thread an see what creativity they come up with.

Still looks stunning and good to see her flying again Ben_E- it must be 737 old timers week- I flew my Alaska again two weeks ago- the first time in probably six months. Still flies like a dream, still impresses me with power and slow flying ability. Haven't flown Wedgetail since last summer...still flight ready.
WR B777 comng along well this week- I'll have a sneak peek this week on the livery... Quote:

I have a gear question guys........
One of the main gears on my model will not retract unless I tap on it. It never worked properly since day one.
Has anyone else had this problem with a cure? Or does anyone that replaced their gear want to get rid of the stock gear? I hate to invest $130 into gear right now before I fly it. Or........ I no Ming follows this forum. Can you help me out with a retract Ming?? Thanks Guys..... Hoss |

Hi Hoss, Yes many of us has had this problem. Your are not alone but I have just learned to live with it. For some reason you my have to cycle the retracts a few extra times an eventually it will come down(Hopefully) At the some point mines completely failed an would only work with the assistance of me tapping it. After letting the plane sit for a few months I fired it back up an they have worked well with just a few cycle up an down every once in a while. Also don't forget to RE Enforce the music wire to 4mm other wise you will risk bending the strut or even worse damaging the plastic pinion.

Hi guys,
I am having awful trouble with my retracts. They are perfectly installed and nothing is effecting them. One of the main landing gear when I select up cycles over and over up and down constantly even when set to up. The other one goes up, but then wont come down unless i also tap it. Its a shame, it seems to be the only component on the plane that constantly causes issues. For my maiden next week I'm not going to even attempt raising the gear till I find a solution weather that be installing better quality retracts. Anybody any idea why so many of us are having issues with these or what the cause is, or are these just crap quality retracts? Finally fully completed my plane (apart from frustrating gear retracts), currently working on a much bigger sister Aer Lingus A330 ( from set thrust) ![]() ![]() New Aer Lingus project: |
