My new E-Flite Blade 120SR

Santa was nice this year and brought me an E-Flite Blade 120SR. This is my second heli with a Blade CX2 as my first.

I got the BNF version since I have a DX8 and do not need those RTF radios. So I opened the box and took out the battery to charge on my AC6 and while it was charging I setup my DX8 for heli with basic programming.

Once the battery was fully charged I installed it in the heli and follow the Binding procedure and after a couple of test she was hovering in my basement.

Right out of the box this thing was great, can't wait for decent weather to give it a try outside and or flying her indoors at the local school...

Santa brought me one for Christmas as well! My first heli! Being a total helicopter rookie the first flight was interesting to say the least. But by the third time around I was able to hover. On the twelth charge the tail rotor motor failed! Not good. Off to the LHS. They replaced the whole tail boom on the spot - no charge and I am back in business. So far have 13 flights on new tail motor and it is still good. Have learned to hover tail in, nose in and do basic slow flight in all directions. I am flying in the basement right now and only have a 12x12 area to fly. Off to the local indoor golf dome on Friday to try it in a bigger area. Bought four batteries and that is not enough! This thing is a blast to fly. Need to be able to charge more than one battery at a time. Other than the tail motor nothing has been broken. As I said the first flight was interesting. I swear this thing was attacted to every possible obsticle in the basement and insisted in hitting it. The guys at the LHS said the secret to no damage is to chop the throtle just before you hit something and there will be no damage. There was a lot of throttle chops the first charge and second charge. My 20 years or RC aircraft has not helped much except with orientation.

I got total of 6 lipo for this heli and can charge all six at the same time if wanted to. No issues with the tail rotor but these little bugger do spin very fast so not sure what is their life span.

Like you HAVING lots of fun. My basement is a bit bigger then yours and the wife works in a school and I have access to the school gym but havent flown it in the gym yet cause of the Holidays, should be able to go very soon..

I got one as well for christmas.

But i had a mSR first so i had no incidents (this thing flys like a big mSR only not as twitchy).

4th flight in with my 120 and my tail motor seized up. I contacted Horizon hobby and they sending me a new one no charge (i went to the hobby shop and picked one up as well though cant stop flying lol).

Loving this heli though tons of fun to fly in the shop at work. But its still flyable in my basement 20'-10' with only 6.6' ceilings.

Yesterday i hooked a sting to the landing gear and hung a small screw driver from it and flew it around. Was a HUGE challenge and tons of fun and the bird took it no problem.

After many many flights with my 120Sr I must say I luv this bird, comparing it to my CX2 well all I can say is that I can't compare them together.

Anyways just today found something and just want to confim it with some of the 120SR owners.

Does this bird have LVC? It would seam that the red led on the back of the heli during flight is solid red but after my 5-6min flight with-in seconds on noticing lose of power the LED starts to flash. Then moment later when I put the pack on my charger the voltage is pretty close to 3.7 - 3.8V
