Kinda frustrating really, we need a high quality extremely thin servo and no one seems willing to make them.
Dymond D60,i mean really, what more could you ask for if you just need something that works, and is under $20

D60 just ends up in building ugly boxes at the polished, high end calcuated wings, destroying almost 10% of the lower surface!!

Ford Mustang style, just fix it with bigger Motor and fuelcell!

Yello

So D60's are a good choice then? The price is definately right. As
far as covers are concerned i'll prolly just fiberglass up my own.
What is recommended for the flaps?

I see 2 types, the 20.00 ones, or the 12?... I'm starting with ds09's....

For me,i like the D60's,i have them in the Swist and X-Plane,with MANY flights, and NO complaints....i also have the D47's in my VooDoo,they have been flawless. As for flaps, you should go metal gear in case they snag the ground while being deployed on landing. On my X,i used the DS09 metal gear.

Mine were 19 bucks each, and i just scuffed the bottom of the servo, and used 30 minute epoxy right to the wing...I figure if a servo goes bad at these speeds, there will not be much left to change out .But if for some reason one does go bad,and you get the plane back,it would not be hard to replace, you would just distroy the bad one.In my VooDoo,i taped the servo then glued it,but i just was not seeing how that would make it easier to swap the servo, you would still have to grind out the tape and glue.

Swist Flaps

Could the flaps on the flap version Swist be deployed as spoilers?
