The APC holes are hand drilled, I believe, so yes you have to go with the moulded hole...

I hope you aren't saying tru-turn spinners are worth it...

Cause I would disagree on that

I just bought a Graupner Precision 30mm spinner for my Viper.

I hope the grub screw does the job

I believe the E version is a custom wind which reduces the kv by about 6% which corresponds to a kv of 2550.
Here are the specs for the 16/35/1.5R :
http://www.effluxrc.com/MEGA-16-35-15-R-MM16-35-15R.htm
1.5R is the wind (2700kV normally), the E designates the rotor is out of the next size up (ie a 16/40 in this case). So you get the same low resistance, but with a 5-8% lower kV due to more magnetic grunt. KV should be just a tad over 2500. The only downside is a slightly heavier weight.

Glad your liking the mega man, should be a very efficient setup. I kept it safe, there is a lot of head room in the power system *cough*6S*cough*

Ive always just lived with the average fit of the graupner blades on the MPjet spinners, sometimes using a washer to space the prop forward so the blade TE doesnt touch the back plate helps.

Truturn spinners... lets not go there

I-care had the 3.17 x 30 a few weeks back. Will a 3.17 fit a 3.2 shaft?

Seems ridiculous to have to choose a motor to match the spinner. But it looks like that's whats going to happen with my next build.

Yes, 3.17mm and 3.2mm are the same thing. The actual size is 1/8" but American units are stupid so they approximate it with 3.xx. Note the true 3mm shaft is almost identical in size but not enough to be compatible.
