You guys think its safe for a Hi-Tec Optima 6, long antenna to run along the inside of the fuse of the Swist or a Viper?

I used them in my Absolute F5B, but I am not sure of the comparison of fuse material.

Stick the tip out of the model, ive tested it inside a full carbon fuse, and it worked, BUT I still wouldnt fly it like that.

This is a stratair shark fin, designed for futaba/spektrum antenna. Cut the base off and a bit of a dremel to clear the boda and the hitec setups fits nicely.

Can somebody give me a rundown on the Trilerons ? are they mainly used to help in racing ? will they hurt any if not used if the plane is used for sport flying ? will it releave stress on the servos if not being used ? Still trying to gather up info before i go head first into putting this bird together....as i am just a few pieces short of having everything needed.

Thanks c54fun......but me being a newbee of sorts,i was wondering what there purpose was,and if they help sport flying in anyway....I saw that Henke did away with his,so that just got me thinking If they are only for racing,i would do away with them also.

In the simplest terms I can manage, 'Giga Flaps' or 'Trilerons' are a way of avoiding a sudden tip vortex and subsequent loss from the sudden split at the end of the Aileron. They are not intended to be driven by seperate servo but slaved off the aileron by tape (or internal wire) as has already been said.
You will already have a draggy vortex from the wing tip in flight. The giga flap is an attempt to move the vortex from the aileron tip closer to the wing tip vortex and therefore reduce drag overall. Some airframes achieve this better than others.

Would it be safe to say that the two small carbon pins that come with the Swist are to mount the vertical and horizontal stabs? Long one to go through both into the fuse, short one just for the horizontal stab?

I can only speak for the Swist, and it's a great performer with the larger and longer fuselage which I need. There are alot of Viper vids too and it looks to do well but nothing for me.
